Mid Week Bonanza

Tankers!
Hop in your favorite vehicle and show off your battle skills!
Dominate the battlefield by destroying your enemies or capturing
the base and bring home medals to earn extra Experience. And to
top it off, your Crews will be gaining more Experience in each
battle you participate in this week!
Start Time: Monday, August 4, 00:01 PDT (07:01 UTC)
End Time: Thursday, August 7, 23:59 PDT (August 8 06:59 UTC)
Bonuses
Every Battle
+ 25% Crew Experience
Experience
+ 50% upon completion of the following Medals:
Top Gun - Destroy more enemy vehicles (at least 6) than any
other player in a match. If two or more players have destroyed
an equal number of vehicles, the award is granted to the player
who earned more XP for the battle (including additional XP
provided to Premium account users).
Confederate - Damage more enemy vehicles than any other player
on the battlefield (at least 6) which are subsequently destroyed
by another player (or self-destruct). If two or more players
have an equal number of damaging hits, the achievement is
granted to the player who has earned more XP in the battle,
including additional XP provided to Premium account users. If
the amount of XP is equal as well, the achievement is not
granted.
Invader - Capture the maximum number of points from the enemy
base (not less than 80). The award is granted on successful base
capture, including only the points that were part of the base
capture. The award is granted to the player who received more
XP in the battle.
Defender - Reduce the number of enemy capture points of a
friendly base by 70 or more. If two or more players have
reduced an equal amount of capture points, the award is granted
to the player who has earned more XP in the battle (including
additional XP provided to Premium account users).

Sweet! Wife and Kids are away for the week visiting friends on
Maine. I plan on taking full advantage of this!!!! Plan on
taking a sick day to tank all day and platoon with clan mates i
never usually get to platoon with, especially our UK guys

LOL Then that means more Defender medals for us. The rage mails
will fly as we stop their capping. We will need to be a bit more
vigilant when moving to take their bases.

Another option is to take out your Tog II (mine is named HMS
Fury) and attack with the rest of the team, hitting a red, then
moving on to the next rather than killing them. Got two
Confederate awards in a row in my first two games this
afternoon. If you are working on a Brit crew this might be an
option.

I've found that confederate is probably the medal on the list
that you have the most control over getting. Just pick your
favorite tank with the fastest reload speed and low alpha damage
that can get around the battlefield and just rotate your shots
around. I've racked up significant numbers of these in my Ram
II (7), Pershing (9), Chaffee (13), and M46 Patton (6).
I've got 70 of them total, but I usually don't try to get
them... maybe its just my playstyle/tank selection. Got 3 of
them last friday within a span of less than an hour.
