I think I am ready to add my opinion to this thread and everyone
has a right to my opinion.
1. With a group this size, cliques are going to form. So our
staff needs to come right out and tell the masses why they don't
want cliques forming. With cliques comes Mutiny!!! They dont
want the clan splitting apart and I am in full agreement. I
don't want this clan splitting apart.
2.I was a new member a few short months ago. I came into the
clan because I wanted mature people to platoon with. When i
first registered a couple members sent me friend requests and i
started platooning and getting into parties. When there was
someone in party that I did not have on my friends list I sent
the friend request.
3. I am so sure that everyone needs an OldFatBaldDude around
that I am NEVER shy about hopping into a party or sending out
invites. NOBODY IN THIS CLAN SHOULD EVER FEEL LIKE THEY ARE
INTRUDING. I have NEVER felt more welcome in any other
orginization. OF&F has been very good to me and will always have
my loyalty.
4. If you are missing an OldFatBaldDude in your life, please,
please, please send me a friend request.
5. Cheesie if you leave I will cry, then I will hunt you down
and put holes in your favorite tank.
6. Group hug :thumb:

Hey all,
I will be cleaning out my friends list so that I can make room
for some of the newer peeps. If you notice that I am no longer
on your friends list please know that it is nothing personal by
no means. It is just needed to make some room. I have never had
an issue with anyone from OFF and if you know me you know how
(generally) laid back I am. So please do not take "not being on
my friends list" personally. I will do my best to switch it up
from time to time so that we can all meet again.
Take Care,
Roger aka Godfather 1965

I platoon with the same people most of the time just because of
my play time and theirs. We get online around the same time and
we seem to knock off the same time as well.
I am not against playing with anyone. If I am not in a group, I
will gladly join one. If I am in a group, feel free to jump in.
I am getting to like the Multi-Platoon less and less though. I
like to launch game after game as fast as we can so I can
maximize my play time. I do not like to launch with other
platoons because if we wind up on oppisite teams, 1/2 of us
lose.
I am not a great player, though I tend to do better when
platooned. I seem to do really well when there are OFF'ers on
the red team. Cernig and I both seem to like the same side of
the map in opposing games.
I try to add new members and un-friended members in parties when
I can.
I roll tiers 4 thru 9 nightly. If you want to grind xp or
silver, send an invite. I rarely start groups.

I dont care for the multi platoon thing much any more. Takes
too long between matches and then we end up on opposite teams
more often than not.
When grinding I like to turn and burn.......made 1 million
silver last night in my is 6 and kv5 doing just that

FRs out later.
im english but play any server and tiers 5-9 at the minute. also
my GT is slightly diff to my name here... UrNOW GREASED.
oh,if im having a bad run of games and get "a rage on" i tend to
turn my mic off, nobody needs to hear me rage.

I agree with the multi-platoons -- far too often we're on
opposite sides. And while I'd rather contribute to an OFFers
stats than some random's, would still prefer to work together
rather than against.
Two things:
-- If there are 4 in a party, a three-person platoon and one
single works better in terms of getting in the same game. Again,
not always on teh same team, but it works out better.
-- The Euro server starts to empty at around 9 pm eastern time,
and we've had fairly decent luck getting into the same games and
even same sides. This is particularly true when running
platoon+single.

I've already gone on record as saying that I don't care for
multiple platoons. OFBD invited me into a party this weekend
and as soon as I joined the room and saw that there were eight
people in it, I begged off. It is nothing personal against
anyone, I just don't enjoy it.
I was in a three man platoon on Saturday and when a fourth
member joined we split into two groups of two. Well, as usual,
we ended up on opposite teams in all games and the two players
on the opposite platoon were superior players to myself and my
platoon-mate and we ended up losing every game.
I'm usually grinding 8 or 9 tanks at a time (Plus my premiums)
so, like others, I like to get on and just bang through my
tanks. Spending 20% of the time sitting in the garage waiting
for the other team to finish, deciding what tier we're going to
run, etc, etc just isn't enjoyable.
I just wonder; for those of us that don't enjoy multiple
platoons - if we start setting our parties to "invite only" once
we get a full platoon, are we going to be accused of
"clique'ng"?

I can't speak for everyone, but I think it'd be totally fine as
long as folks mix up with whom they are platooning so it's not
the same two or three every single time.
I think the idea was to have all us help welcome the newer folks
(e.g., proving we're not a bunch of raging jackasses ... well,
most of us most of the time, anyway :smileplain: ) and find
out who can work well together. After all, some play styles just
don't match up, while other do.
Regardless, all of us in platoons need to make sure we're
working together and aren't just three people doing their own
thing at the same time. This is how it goes about 95% of the
time, but every once in a while we stray. (And I'm guilty as
well, so not singling anyone out.)

TKE, I agree with you. Us old timers :old: do need to mix it up
a bit, but sometimes I like to keep it small as well. I have no
problem if someone is locking the party to invite only, but I
also have no problem with a party telling me that they want to
keep it small. Conversely, If you are the 4th wheel, then you
can still try and get into a battle with the other 3 but not a
distraction if you don't.

I actually have no problem with 4 man parties. For whatever
reason, we seem to have had good success with getting into the
same game/team when playing 3 + 1.
