You'll be amazed how quickly you build up your friends list once
you platoon up a few times. When you are in platoon check the
party list and send FR's to others in the party. Cuts across
cold Fr'ing (cold calling) and members will recognise your gamer
tag from the party list.

I want to go back to Cheesie's statement, please.
Cheesie, there are only two "founders" - Robert and Coffee. If
you mean members of the Board or Staff, please clarify. If you
mean me then bring it up with me personally, the same as I'm
already had an open and friendly word with a couple of people
about their behaviour being seen as the beginning of a clique.
We're about openness and friendship here, not drama via
innuendo. Take it up with the people you have a problem with
first, stay polite and friendly in a spirit of camraderie. If
that doesn't work, name names openly and get another Board
member in as a mediator - with nothing hidden and let people
face any accusations properly.

Well said. I would like to add to this that if you jump into a
party, please announce yourself. No need for the blaring of
trumpets and such, but a quick "Hi how's it going?". Sometimes
folks are in the middle of a battle and do not notice when
someone joins party.
If you don't hear a response back, be patient. When the
tactical chatter dies out, jump in and repeat the "Hi", or
"How's the battle going?" There has been many a time folks have
jumped into a party, and then left without saying a word.
I know when I started platooning I was hesitant about jumping in
without sending a message, as I thought it was bad form. In this
group it isn't bad form to jump in, most of us don't bite. Well
maybe a little harmless nibbling. Just make certain that if you
are new or newish to review the members list here, and send out
FRs. Always make certain you id yourself as an OFF'r.
Put it in your motto so we know not to reject, or send an
message if the FR hasn't been accepted. If you look at my
avatar, you can see what tiers I run and my primary gametimes.
If you're on during that period, and I'm in a group, hop in. If
we already have full platoons, I try and see who's on my
friend's list to invite so we can start another so our fellow
peeps are not twisting in the wind.
We now return to the rest of the thread, already in progess. We
realize you have several clans to choose from, and we're glad
you chose ours. Please place your tray and chair in their
upright positions, and prepare to roll out!

I would like to add that new member make sure you put OF&F in
your motto... i would like to know everyone but i do
forget...hey im old... this just helps us old guys remember

Cheesie, I do not think anyone has worn out their welcome here.
We just want to make sure things do not fester. It is better to
get to the root of the problem then let it linger. There have
been isolated incidents in the past that have escalated and we
don't want this to build to critical threshold.

Cheesie, when I discussed this with you in front of other
members of an XBL party last night, you said everything was fine
- and hour later you're posting some drama. WTF dude? Did you
not notice we were all agreeing that cliques were bad?
I'd be sorry to see you go for such a minuscule reason, but it's
your decision.
