Getting frustrated..again..

Time to vent I guess lol...not the greatest player but if I ever
focused and didn't play all over the tank map I might actually
get better than average...and playing and stopping a month here
and there hasn't helped BUT...what is up with the hit box in the
game? I never remember it being this bad. Again tonight,
sidescrapping nicely, was a T14 not the greatest armor in the
world...had about 65% health. Wolverine ahead of me, about 350
meters, one shot, killed... There was zero line of site from him
to me. I looked from every angle possible but no way could he
have hit me. Maybe, he could have nicked the end of my track in
the back...boom..not the first time since I have been back. I
have made a concerted effort to make sure I am positioning
better but the last few weeks it doesn't seem to matter. Is
there a Texas sized hit box on tanks now? And it always seems
to be a one shot besides, not a glancing blow....and then there
is artillery..lol[
Ok..I vented, but seriously, I am sure it is me but it really
seems like the hit box is bigger than it was. I am sure everyone
is just getting better, weak spots and all, but I still find it
hard to believe that a T150 can hit right on my machine gun port
from over 400 Meters away to one shot me either...ok..no more
venting.. Lol. Maybe the premium ammo is helping more than
ever. I always keep a few on hand but I think people are just
using it like regular ammo now, which makes it even tougher for
noobish tankers like me..
And if anyone sees me on please say hello...could use someone
watching my back once and awhile! Sometimes one of my kids is on
but I usually am 8 or later. I don't know many of you well so I
am not sure if you want me to bug you or not!

LOL- That is pretty comical Doc! Been a rash of bad games
recently among several. Not sure about the hit box getting
bigger. Probably just seems that way. Generalisimo's motto is
"if you aren't firing premium, you aren't trying hard enough!"

Yep..3+ artillery I am out right off. Small maps should not
have this BS.

I feel your pain.Starting or irregular gaming time with
something like WOT is a beast to crack.Most die hards will know
weak spots,what to equip,map strategy,have the "pick of the
bunch" for tank selection etc.Its the nature of any game i
suppose its a case of practice,practice,practice whenever
possible.Joining up with with fellow offers is the best way to
crack the nut.Introduce and put yourself into platoons as i
found this invaluable.Stats will go down that's inevitable but
you will see a difference sooner or later.Training rooms with
Offer's is another choice.Finding a tank per tier which you are
comfortable with helps as does grinding it,daily X2 and
purchasing the odd premium tank.Hopefully this will increase
your silver so you can run that premium ammo and level the
playing field somewhat.I'm no amazing tanker but definitely more
competent after fellow offers giving out their wisdom.

A couple of things:
1. If you rely on armor in this game, you will die alot. Gold
Rounds and large caliber guns ignore it.
2. They have updated gun mechanics to be less accurate across
the board.
3. Russian guns are the least accurate on paper, but tend to be
some of the best guns in actual play for whatever reason. Ive
got 12 RU tanks over 70% hit rates.
4. T14 armor has been power creeped drastically. Lots of T5
tanks can just LOL with AP rounds.
Ive added you to my friends list, hope to see you on (I havent
been on alot the past week or two however).

You could be the victim of a double (or triple, or more) hit -
the Wolverine may have penned you a millisecond or two before an
arty or a real tanks gun hit you, or both. It would appear in
the game that the Wolverine did all of the damage, and the only
way to tell is to look at the detailed stats.

First game Monday evening while lone wolfing I took my 13 75
out. I posted up to do some spotting and a CDC sitting 10
meters to my left gets spotted and starts to move. 2 seconds
later I'm dead, arty missed the CDC but blind shot me! I sent a
message to the arty congratulating him on the lucky shot to
which he replied "it had to happen at some point". Sometimes
your just on the wrong side of RNG, sometimes your just going to
be the one that someone else has luck against.
As for the T14, another premium tank I'd like to sell back to WG
for the gold I paid since they saw fit to change it after I paid
them!!!
