Saw this on the menu at a restaurant yesterday...thought of youz
guyz...seemed like the perfect combination, all things
considered...

Menu is from Tiffany's Restaurant & Cafe, located in Des
Plaines, IL, just northwest of O'Hare Airport. Nice atmosphere,
friendly service, good food.
<rant mode> ON
To make a long story short, we ended up there because American
Airlines messed up my daughter's military check-in on Monday
(along with other screw-ups - ask, and I will elaborate) at Dane
County Airport in Madison, WI. Consequently, she missed her
flight, and ended up having to overnight in Chicago after being
bumped from stand-by by a group of 9 that entered stand-by
status after she had (she was a shoe-in before they showed up -
I thought stand-by was 'first come, fist served'? wtf...
:palm:). Uncle Sam put her up in a nice suit, so the wife and I
drove down to stay with her, and then see her off yesterday
morning after...Breakfast at Tiffany's!
Wife is writing a letter to AA's customer service dept, but,
because her ticket was part of a government contract, they will
probably do nothing (we were not the actual customer). AA didn't
even apologize after the mistakes were brought to their
attention!
I. Will. NEVER. Fly. American. Airlines. EVER. Again!!! :snarl:

"First come - fist served" That can be American Airlines new
slogan!! Lol......I think Dr Freud is raising an eyebrow!!
Come on Maddog, you know this is sop for military flights.....i
had to overnight in O'Hare Airport - no hotel room, just slept
on floor - flying "space a" from Germany to South Dakota

Well, I would agree with you, except the military did try to
help (I'm sure within the parameters of the contract) - it was
AA that dropped the ball on this one. At least Army put her up
in a decent room for the night.
