Tankfest 2017?

So apparently some of you made it to Tankfest 2016. And I'm
JEALOUS.
However. I want to channel my irritation in a positive
direction.
SO. Who's interested in heading to Bovington for Tankfest 2017?
Also, for our English brethren, what kind of costs would we be
looking at in that area? Sort of a general cost per night for
hotel and average cost per meal for mid-level quality meals so I
can ballpark a budget.
Who's interested?

Lots of places booked up already for next year. Probably looking
at £70-£100 per night per room. Meal wise £10 per person for
evening meal. Snacks at the show ground are astronomical, but no
worries you can live like a king over here now $$$

we took our own but to be honest the varied food offered at the
food court area seemed reasonably priced
but beer £4 carlsberg !! found a guy on bike with beer barel
and free testers kept him chatting for ages lol
The whole day was flat out ! wish i had done weekend .if we had
we thought we would have considered camping as there was a group
of us so tents bbq and beer would be the order.
surprised the amount of tanks and bits they had interesting
talking to some of the staff about the tanks even found an area
where there were a few tanks were sat in a corner rusting with
some impressive damage " awaiting restoration " really!!!!! they
were F ecked !
loved the displays of the tanks both static and display
HIGHLY recomend

Lol...sods law..Moved from Somerset last year and now in
Yorkshire.Otherwise it would of been just down the road.Prices
for B&B are similar to the coastal resorts (Poole etc)
£70-upwards.Entrance fee is not bad @ £13 though.

Sounds like a good idea. After visiting Tank Fest this year I
would gladly go again.
I went with Shadders on the Saturday & WotNoChad / BulletMunkie
met up with us on Saturday evening & we all went to the Tank
fest on the Sunday. It is quite a bit to jam in on one day so if
you are able to make a weekend of it then do it. We stayed at a
B&B in Weymouth which is about 25 mins drive away from
Bovington. The cost per room was £75 & shared between 2 makes it
even more reasonable.
I have a whole bunch of photos & videos - just need to sort
them. Hopefully tonight as have been busy with work stuff.....
If OFFers are coming from overseas then I would be happy to act
as a central focal point. I would add I am not local to
Bovington but If I can help with anything I would gladly do so.
So I know its early & to kick off would be planning to visit
Tank Fest next year besides those that have already indicated
they might. It woul dbe great to meet up with more OFFers given
the chance to :thumb:

Looks like Poole and Bournemouth are near (30 mins) and should
have plenty of hotels?!?!?
Two hours from London, driving on the wrong side of the
road......might hear about my trip to the southwest on the BBC
Radio traffic report
:white flag: :scream: :scared: :hitself:

You guys should think about renting a cottage or farm house then
you have more freedom, and if it has 3 to 4 bedrooms will reduce
the cost.
