       a tiger torch will get rid of any ant problems
       works for me every time and I don't have to cut the grass near
       as often :hitself:

       While I have no remedy for carpenter ants, I do have a
       recommendation for their fellow union members, carpenter bees.

       I have one, and it is immensely fun. Good for flies, skeeters,
       earwigs, ants, SPIDERS, wasps, yellow jackets/ground hornets,
       and Chinese beetles (requires 2-3 shots).  I've contemplated
       using a fine sand in place of the salt, but don't want to ruin
       it. May try a pinch of fine art sand for more sustained
       velocity.
