I'm a little late to this thread, but having been part of the
debate thought I'd chime in...
First and foremost, my balls work just fine but if you really do
want to fondle them, they sit a bit lower than they used to so
aim well... :beer:
As for the arty debate, I have had a great time running with
everyone in OFF and often run (nearly every night) with OU812,
Dado, Gunbuggy, LC and Shaky as well as a plethora of others and
love every minute of it. I do apologize for any of the heat I've
contributed to the debate though. I'm a passionate guy and
sometimes let that passion rule my mouth. If I have in any way
contributed to the discomfort of others, I apologize. I
especially want to apologize to Gunbuggy and Dado for anything I
might have said that pissed them off. I really enjoy playing
with y'all and hope that it continues.
That said, I LOVE having arty in my platoon. I don't play arty,
at least not often and certainly not well but I've seen what
good arty players can do and I really appreciate their
contribution to the success of the battle. Yes, it's nice to get
a break and have no arty in a match but from my short
experience, it's rare. I'm just pulling numbers out of my ass,
but if feels like arty is in 80-90% of the matches I roll in
whether its in our platoon or not. Having someone I trust in
that machine to cover my ass makes me more secure and allows me
to be just a little more aggressive when I need to be. I can't
tell ya how many times Gunbuggy or Sciberius has saved my ass by
nuking the guys whooping on me when I've over-extended or pushed
around the wrong corner or when I need to back off and they lay
down cover fire.
Are they a pain in the ass to defend against at times <grumbles
about Bert's firing arc>? YES! Does it suck when you get one
shotted by a T9 arty and OU812 gets away Scott free from 3
meters away? HELLS YES! :dick:
But overall as many have said they are a part of the game. They
have had a legitimate historical impact to modern warfare and
they aren't going anywhere in WOT...ever!

though..........after i have the times two off the other 60!!

Don't mind running with arty at all but I do hate the red arty.
So if I gripe don't take it personally. It is like the old
saying, "They may be bastards, but they are our bastards." Live
and let live, live and let vent.
