I personally don't like arty for two reasons. They seem to one
hit kill me all the time! And well I'm not that good at arty! As
far as people running them in a platoon with me I truly don't
care! Run what ever the hell you want to run! But trust me I'm
going to talk shit specially if it an't German! I'll talk shit
on any tank that an't German weather it's arty or not! So if it
was I that has made people fell like they where unwanted and
want to leave well I'm sorry and I wasn't trying to make someone
fell unwanted! It's just they way I am. I don't like many tanks
that aren't German so yeah I'm going to talk crap! Now if I'm
lighting someone up for arty and arty doesn't shoot at them well
yeah that's going to piss me off too! But I know that arty is a
lot hard then it looks so I'm not going to take it personal! But
trust me I know I'm hard to platoon with I'm trying to hold shit
back! Well sometimes it just doesn't work!! And if it was me I
am truly sorry!!

The cartoonish splash radius of premium HE from the T92,
perma-tracking in Bert, and one-shotting a tier 9 in the S51
always makes me laugh. My only issue with green artillery is not
watching the correct area. There's a chokepoint with a good
brawl going on and only the red artillery is bombing it.

I've been known to bitch (a little) about arty but in reality I
can't image the game without it. Its presence can completely
change my tactics, and now that I'm enjoying lights more it
gives me a "high priority/easy kill" target! Plus the
satisfaction of taking one down is pretty awesome.
TKE, I too hate when a lone red runs to the nearest deep water
or cliff. I used to message them "Coward!!" but the last person
I did that to replied, "No satisfaction for you!". I laughed so
hard I sent him a TY and now every time it happens I just think
of that :beer:

If I can I will try to shoot the arty before he drowns and I've
also been known to dive in to shoot and ram them.

I have almost 3 yrs into the game and yes over 30,000
battles.Being new to the clan I have met a great group of
players that has added more fun and variety to the game and
thanks to all for that.Unfortunately for most I do use arty time
to time,but I prefer tank destroyers overall and only have 3
arty in my garage.One is Russian tier 5 which I recently played
a lot for the Russian op,most of my squad mates ran premium tier
7 and 8's so I had to do the best with what I have as I own no
Russian premiums.I did the best I could to help my squad and
clan in battles even against tier 9.I did take a lot of heat and
a lot of it was in good fun which was great,but some would
actually blame me for being hauled up to tier 9 or ten matches
because of my tier 5 arty and got to the point of people rage
quitting.I apologize to any I may have maddened as I was trying
to do the best with what I had.That being said arty is a part of
tank warfare and there are a lot of tanks that can one shot you
and you never saw them like a KV2,Isu-152,Deathstar and so
on.Its part of the diversity in the game,take the good with the
bad.If anyone I have played with feels I am dragging down the
clan,ruining their games then its best to boot me as to cause
less discourse in the group after all I am only new here.Good
hunting to all!!

Pffft. If someone feels like you're dragging down the clan by
playing arty, they can pound sand. No need for you to go
anywhere.

I'm been as of late the lunatic ranting and raving about arty
and I know that LC started this thread because of me. Maybe
because it seems that I'm always the primary target of them and
I do enjoy very much a good game without arty on the opposite
side. The issue for me is that if a platoon mate brings in arty
in the party then for sure we are going to face arty on the
other side and I have my thoughts on this as well as the
occasional effectiveness of the platoon .
I realize its part of the game and I'm probably one of the
biggest offenders as the single tank that I have the most games
in is actually an arty, i just choose to play it alone.
Having said that last night I realized that I have probably
crossed over the line so I do apologize to LC, Auger and Shaky
for having to listen to me on my soap box last night. This is a
game and the point of this clan is to actually have fun, have
good games enjoying the camaraderie and everyone is welcome to
drive whatever they want in my opinion too. So from my end I
promise to shut up. I certainly dont want to be the cause of
people leaving and if that is the case I would rather leave
myself first before they do, so If one of our admins feels that
this is the case please do let me know.

Since we don't have Typhoons/Thunderbolts shredding us from the
sky...
or kids with Panzerfausts popping out of second story windows...
I think a sprinkling of arty is not much to suffer.
Personally I run arty 5% of the time (everyone should do their
community service :wink:)
I have selected arty sometimes and had someone Groan... too bad!
I don't take it personal. Run yo' thang, man. :drunkdance:
PS - I would Love to run with a weekly platoon centered around
three arties with a couple tanks acting as scouts/protectors
