wounded...tough day, story still unfolding...

Saw that...just sickened over what is happening in this world.
What possesses an individual to do something like this? I mean,
how do they justify their actions in their own mind?
Makes me want to pack up my family, some survival gear and all
my weapons, and go live in the north country... :snarl:

In the context of Chuck's question, the full motivation for this
attack remains to be seen, but a quote from the father of the
"man" who did this said that he was recently enraged by men
kissing in public...
"We were in Downtown Miami, Bayside, people were playing music.
And he saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and
kid and he got very angry," Mir Seddique, told NBC News on
Sunday. "They were kissing each other and touching each other
and he said, 'Look at that. In front of my son they are doing
that.' And then we were in the men's bathroom and men were
kissing each other."
I get it if you don't agree with the lifestyle that other people
pursue, but where do you connect the dots that the right lesson
to teach to your 3 year old son is to go shoot as many of those
[completely innocent] people as possible? Oh, and by the way,
let me just leave him fatherless in the process?
I love my country and believe that we are the most amazing
nation to grace the latter part of the Earth's history, but it's
so hard to accept that this is the new normal in our society.
We have to figure out a way to be better than this...

The facr that it's a gay nighyclub makes the motive pretty

just saw this about an hour or so ago. couldn't believe I didn't
see a rash of alerts from local news popping up on my phone like
they do for the completely stupid shit that isn't worth blasting
my phone for.
thoughts and prayers, so completely senseless.

Delp nailed it. This is pure hate, period. No excuse I don't
care what your beliefs are or what you can't handle in the
world. It has become too much of an "it is all about me and what
I believe" world. There is something to be said of the phrase,
"Live and Let Live" and the ability of let go of some stuff.
Tolerance. Like we tell the fourth graders, "You can think
whatever you like, but you don't have to say or act on
everything that comes into your mind".
