I see someone has done (or will do) their Bing searches today
lol
All very cool!
Matt, I have a deep "non-respect" for Chinese goods; especially
after all the economical crap that has gone down over the last
2-8 years...lost many a wage because my company insisted on
buying fasteners made over there. I always buy non-Chinese
goods, beginning with American, then North American, European,
etc goods before Chinese goods, unless, for instance, it's a
tool or device that I know will get destroyed in the process.
Keep a sharp eye open for that junk!!! :watching:

We have a vender rating system in place, that if a product
is coming from overseas, specifically from Asia, it is flagged
automatically for 100% inspection and between myself and my 4
co-workers, we have 50 years experience in this industry. We
have seen every trick in the book, we are sent out for testing
recertification and exposure to new diagnostic techniques. We
have to be SPOT on in identifying genuine parts, as many of our
customers are using parts in applications that lift off the
ground, or involve weapons systems.
There have been numerous companies, across the country,
that have had all their assets seized and completely shut down
for selling counterfeit parts to the government, specifically
the military branch.

i enjoy the simple life realy. spent the last 30 years in the
logistics industry. Started as a storeman loading local trucks
and linehaul units. then ended up driving first local general
delivery trucks before driving linehaul trucks for 10 years. Now
back to driving for a local engineering company that cut steel
profiles with either lasers, oxi or plasma cutters.
decided to move away from linehaul driving when my first son was
born.
Did spend a year driving a desk as a warranty administrator for
Volvo but could not handle answering phone calls and emails all
day.

I am a CNC machinist. I graduated tech school in 1986 with an
associates degree in applied machining. I have been at my
current job for over 10 years. I run a haas VF6 machining center
with 4th axis when needed. I have programmed and ran a 5 axis
ingersoll gantry mill at my previous job. I was also a
maintainence supervisor for 3 years. The most critical part I
ever made was a sonar sphere hatch cover for a Los Angeles class
sub. Was told this was the only place where there was sea water
on one side and sea men on the other on the sub. Part was
inspected while still on the machine. Where I work now I
setup, program and run the machine. It is a job shop. Very
fortunate that it is very close to home.
