is not right you know it, turn your tank around, escape and try
to pick a better situation somewhere else. Oxi did a great job
of pointing out to me that I die to much and after thinking
about it I realized I'm way to aggressive. I have found that as
my survival rate climbs, so has my damage dealt.

This is OUTSTANDING advice and something that playing light
tanks can you help you with immeasurably.
Simply put: Don't be a damn hero and try to hold a flank all
alone, or even with just one other tank. Pull back and get
yourself into a defensive position instead, even if you have to
leave the greens to die. (It happens. They'll get over it.
       )
A great example of this was Saturday night -- we were on
Steppes, south spawn and the entire eastern side of the map was
covered by myself and a platoon mate, while the rest of our team
lemminged west (and, stunningly, no one camped the rocks by
spawn!!). So we pulled back to where we could get our Type-59s
hulldown and put shots into people as they came up the hill
       toward our cap.
       We. Absolutely. Wrecked. Them.
In the past, I would have stayed on the east, died, and then got
all mad about how our team sucked.
So, yeah -- pulling a Brave Sir Robin is good when needed.

       Yo Mike
Is it your WN8 you want to improve? If it is then lots of very
good advice has already been given here and there isn't much
       more to add, however from looking at your stats a few stand out;
       1. Your survival rate is quite a bit higher than mine at 40.5%,
       versus just under 36%
       2. Your hit rate is better than mine 62.68% vs 61.89%
       3. Your defence points are higher than mine 1.46 vs 1.11
I think on average you are definitely staying alive in games
long enough and you are better than me at hitting what you shoot
at however you perhaps aren't getting to the points of action
quickly enough on the maps - Oxi's recent post of Justanace's
       guide could help this.
Also have a look at your WN8 per tank and in general don't play
the elited ones which have a WN8 less than your total WN8
(unless your WN8 is actually rising in these tanks!) as playing
these further could be dragging your WN8 down.
It looks like your overall stats are being dragged down by 126
games in the PZIVH, zeros for everything and a WN8 of 81! It
       doesn't look right at all!

yeah all those Pz 4 games were in the old version when it was T5
and wotinfo doesnt know what to do with it....some tanks like
the T29 in were played early in my WoT career before i knew what
hull down was, and im better now in it.
I like heavy tanks which means bugging out is typically a non
option, although i do try to do so when in a medium. i think
patience is my biggest weak spot.

Great advice guys, I'm still languishing in Tiers 1-5 and
getting better over time. Just making the trip up to mediums and
feeling the learning curve. I'm still being let down by my
       really poor driving skills.
I will often turn my hull instead of reverse in a straight line
       which is really annoying me.

Mine did the exact same thing and probably dinged my WN8 by at
least 10-15 points. But that helps offset my dirty stat padding
in my V/IV and E-50, so ... ya know ... :troll:
Sadly, my American M3 Stuart stats are accurate, as is its WN8
       of 10.
       :hitself:
Should really buy that thing back some day ...

I can beat your 10! 6 games in the Cruiser Mk.III, average
damage of 10 with a total WN8 of 0! No way I'm buying that back
       - seriously an average damage of 10 in 6 games lol
Fortunately my old PzIV stats were removed with the removal of
the tank. This saw my total WN8 increase by quite a bit as I
was dire in it - my first tier 5, didn't know about zooming and
was sort of AFKing in it to get the achievements and to get
closer to the Tiger. This was pre OFF
My new PZIVH stats are much nicer :superdrunk:
I'm also a dirty V/IV padder but I'm not so good in the E-50
unfortunately, I'm trying as I really like the tank but it isn't
happening for me at the moment.

It's certainly different than most mediums—the Soviets have
their insane DPM, Brits their gun depression, and U.S. their
snapshotting and view range. Thus, you gotta kinda play it a bit
       different.
I just play it kinda sorta like a faster E-75, in that I
sidescrape off of anything and everything I can find—that
reduces the times you get blasted in the face, which is where
most players who know what they are doing will shoot you, as
       it's pretty weak.
The other thing is trying to get gun depression without exposing
the lower front plate. That's tricky and requires some rather
unique tank positioning, usually using the left-right movement
or good elevation to get shots. But when you do get shots ...
wow, that gun is a freaking laser. Only shots I have missed have
either been on the move or very thin shots to begin with, as the
thing just doesn't miss when aimed in fully.
It's quickly becoming one of my favorite tanks, which surprises
me quite a bit. I figured its size and slower rate of fire would
be an issue, but so far that hasn't been the case. In fact, the
slower ROF makes me play it less aggressively than I do my T-54,
but more successfully in terms of damage output. Granted, I also
may or may not load a tad bit of skill to essentially turn it
       into an E-50M. :troll:
We'll certainly have to find some time to run them together
(kinda tricky due to the time zone difference, but maybe Sunday
       ... ?). :thumb:

If I had to guess, this is where I think your biggest problem
is..... Never get yourself into a spot where you cannot bug out
or have serious room to maneuver..... You should always have a
plan or a way to relocate wherever you are on a map. I think
that playing mediums is the best experience to play heavies.....
Not necessarily form the standpoint of working from the second
level and flanking, but always being aware of whre the other
tanks are on the map and having an out. Where I find that I am
at my worst is when I over-commit and leave myself with no way
to reposition or relocate.... You need to make sure that you
do not have the mentality that all heavies are E100s...

Sunday would work for me :headbang:. I was thinking along the
lines of playing it like the Lowe but with the speed to help
       with the mop up.
