Rare Tank Spotlight: T-50-2

Must have for Light Tankers. To me this tank is the LTTB's
slightly smaller brother. My plan was for the T-34-88 to be my
next premium tank, but this one has earned an exception for me
and I plan to acquire the additional Gold needed to make it
happen after I get home from Scouting (BSA) tonight and with any
luck do some Scouting WoT style before I go to bed.

A vehicle too fast to handle has escaped the Wargaming vault!
The speedster in question is the Soviet T-50-2, one of the
fastest tier VI light tanks, and the latest scout to light up
the battlefield!
To play as the T-50-2, you must embrace battling as a scout,
since engaging in direct firefights will be limited. This light
tank excels at speeding to early vantage points, taking up
sights on hotzones, and alerting the team when the enemy is
exposed. As long as you remain hidden through a combination of a
Camo Net and related Skills, and have the cool head to not fire
your gun when a target presents itself, you should be able to
provide ample reconnaissance.
But for you daredevil active scouts out there, the available
57mm gun is nothing to laugh at. Carrying an impressive ammo
count and an unrelenting rate of fire, the T-50-2 has enough
firepower to fend off the wolves (aka enemy light tanks), and
can be quite devastating to isolated artillery vehicles
stationed at the enemy base.
It takes a daring tanker to brave high-tier battles as a scout,
and this Premium light tank is no exception seeing up to tier IX
battles. Yet this vehicle is beloved by the community from which
it originated from, is available for a limited time only, and
already comes with the "Smooth Ride" Skill and its own Ace
Operation!
And we know you're not one to shy away from a challenge, right!?

I dunno ... I find the price to be a bit much, given that this
is just a love child between an essentially stock LTTB (gun
wise) and MT-25. If it were, say, 3k gold base, then I might go
for it. But 4k seems a tad highish given I wrecked the tank with
same-tier lights on the test server.
Might have to pass on this one.

I already have a Tier VI light that rarely gets out of the
garage...don't need another one :scared:

There is no doubt this would be fun due to the speed and will be
great for the first dozen games or so.
However it seems very expensive for what it is.
It will likely be the nerfed PC version at a tier higher.
It could also affect WN8 negatively in a similar way that
affects the PzV/IV positively
Pass for me :)

It's still a tier VI on console, as it was on PC, I believe (it
was replaced by the MT-25), and will see IXs. And much like the
MT, one will need to spam the living holy hell out of prem
rounds to be effective, as 112 base pen ain't gonna work.
Also: TargetDamage.com doesn't even have it listed on there, so
... no clue what will happen to folks WN8s for a while.
