I agree with StatesR about Mediums being less than sufficient
for the job. When I was with the Pirates the flavor of the month
was auto loaders for their awesome clip damage. We would
practice using the 50-100's with IS-3s. There are lots of vids
on Youtube of competitive play and their preferred tanks are
usually the same handful of tanks over and over. I do prefer my
tier 8 lights over my mediums to add my :twocents:

Watching this because I have no idea what a run and gun tactic
is....

Pretty much just lights on the run and gun. I did see a T32 as a
position holder in some meta's on Murovanka.

I like the tank too Faethor. Just there is a science to meta's
and strategies and the people that know the science feel it is
not that legit. I am assuming after hundreds of hours of testing
for proper meta's. At least not in the run and gun. It would be
considered by most to be a map and strategy dependent tank.
Mostly in that it is 10km slower than the slowest gunning tank
the 13-90 which is at 62km/hr. This means it gets there to the
party just a little too late. The reason I heed the advice of
the PC players is because these guys have tens of thousands of
dollars on the line, they have a tendency to get the best tanks
for the job.

One ting to remember is that there are no limits to the number
of individual tanks taken for the PC battles. For the console,
they limit each tank type to 3, so you cannot run 5 T-54 lw or
LTTBs....

I think that the PC players know a lot...no doubt about it.
However...lol.
(This part is talking about all the console tanks, not the T69)
If we play a dumbed down version of the game, doesn't it stand
to reason that we may put too much value on what they are
saying? I don't believe the physics are the same in the PC as
on the console, so perhaps the whole comp tank list should be
reevaluated in regards to what works best on console?
Food for thought...lol

Duly noted Faethor. I would say when it comes to maps, DPM, pen,
speed, armor, hp,traverse,etc... the tanks are really similar to
the PC. The xbone has most of the same bushes and buildings.
Just not as detailed, so no reason to think that same tactics
and strategies will not work. May just need to adjust spotting
physics. A fast tank with high DPM on PC is still a fast tank
with high DPM on xbox. Same for slow tank with high DPM and
armor. I know they buff and nerf different tanks on PC and
console, but regardless it would take a lot of nerfing to make
most of the preferred tanks irrelevant. I guess my summation
would be that many times we have shied away from PC strategies
thinking they will not work because we perceive our game to be
"dumbed" down. I like to look at the massive similarities that
our 2 games share and assume those same tanks should be able to
have a similar performance on our battlefield as well. That we
should start at what works on PC until it is proven that it does
not work here on xbox. That was all I was saying. Thanks for the
civil discourse on what can be sometimes a touchy subject. Many
times I think people like their favorite tanks so much that you
thought they would have birthed them. Much love

That is a big difference Oxi. I think we will be able to find a
work around, and keep a really similar and strong meta when we
try it sometime. They also have two caps and are only
attack/defense. But I have still noticed many general
strategies, tactics, and strategies that can be applied to
standard battle on many maps, especially Prok and Murovanka.
Sorry for hijacking the thread I am shutting up now.
