A lot of people don't like the Panther -- not super fast, kinda
biggish, and the gun seems to tickle the reds more than damage
them. BUT ... if people play it like a mobile sniper, using that
amazing pen and super accurate gun, it's a really solid support
tank. I enjoy it so much I kept it and put a decent crew in it.
The Panther II, on the other hand ... just ... bleh. Not really
fast, armor that is all but useless given the tanks it faces,
and a comically long aim time have made it a very unenjoyable
grind for me. Heck, I've gone through both the T-54 and Pershing
already, and I got those a few months after my Panther II.
But I'm going to muscle through it and make you and Guderian
proud.

The Panther was not half bad, Panther II is a different story. I
stalled out after getting the top gun package but now will
reinvigorate my efforts these next two weeks. I want the E50 and
hopefully can do some Ruggering to the E50M

Panther and Panther 2 were good tanks if played to their
strengths which certainly isn't brawling.
Just unlocked the 3rd package for the E50 which will hopefully
reduce the swearing a lot.
Grinding tier 8 and above can really poop on your WN8 though.

First 3 rounds in the Panther II last night and no complaints so
far. Plays a little different than the Panther but not too much.
I also started out with the top package. I don't recall if the
first 1 or 2 were already unlocked or if I unlocked them when I
bought it a couple months back, but as I only had to spend 20 or
29k to unlock the last 2 packages I did so and started off with
quite a playable tank. When you unlock the next to last package
the last also unlocks FYI.
I plan to be on again sometime this afternoon/evening once again
rotating between the Panther II, LTTB, and 1 or two others.
Maybe some tier III's to help with those kill ops if needed.

Man...ran my Panther II a few times last night. Had a 3k damage
game, but this one...just...
I initially went hill on the 0 line, but my team camped in J1
and NOBODY went center. So, despite being a large-ish tank with
meh gun depression, went center to spot.
Think that was a good choice. :grin:

Ya, I never really gelled with the Panther II until this game. A
light and I ran the edge of the map and crossed the destroyed
bridge. We spotted up the entire red flank and luckily our TD's
just destroyed them.

Very nice assist damage TKE & Danger! I always love getting
crazy assist damage in a tank no one expects it in.

Thanks SPF, the Panther II is not as rough as I remember it
being... Hopefully the E 50 is pretty fun.
