StuG Life Baby!
DIR By: Guderian 9139

We've got a tank destroyer whose reputation precedes it coming
to the Premium Store with guns blazing! We're talking about
Germany's StuG IV, the latest Premium tank destroyer to enter
the rough streets of World of Tanks.
Known as "Stuggy," "St00g," "Big G," and Sturmgeschütz, the StuG
IV has unbelievable amounts of swagger, and is one of the more
popular vehicles in World of Tanks. The StuG's swag is derived
from its jack-of-all-trades capabilities being built up from the
proven Pz.Kpfw. IV chassis. This tier V tank destroyer comes
equipped with a rapid-firing 75mm gun with excellent aim speed.
Its gun can rip open lightly armored foes, but you should use
your accuracy to target weak points of its tier VI opponents it
will face.
One of the StuG's most identifiable features (no, not the 8-bit
shades) is its side-skirts, which do serve a purpose.
High-Explosive shells that land directly on the side-skirts will
deal less damage than usual. Nevertheless, this tank destroyer
is best played as a sniper, so be sure to stay concealed for
best results.
The StuG IV won't make it to the German tech tree, so there's no
reason not to pick up this bad boy while you can!
We know you didn't choose the "StuG Life", and that it chose
you! Think you've experienced the "life" in one of your favorite
vehicles? Tell us about it in the comments or using the hashtag
#StugLife on twitter!

It and the Fury were on sale at the same time, and I had no U.S.
higher-tier crew trainers. And while I love my Fury, I really
wish I had just bucked up for the 34-88 as well.
Oh well. Someday ... maybe. Or I just need to go and buy a PS4.

The 34-88 is a great xp maker and a fun tank but it's no V/IV by
any means.
It's soft and I find it's 88 bounces too often however it is
better than that crappy old Fury ...lol
For me the 30.01P is similar.

Well the 34-88 can run German crews, has an Iron Cross und ein
quote from Heinz Guderian on the barrel of the vaunted 88 mm.
what's not to love? :thumb:

I don't want one. I don't see the point as I don't believe its
as OP as people make out. Alley is right, it does appear to be
soft and the gun is renowned to be bouncy. I believe it also
has similar crew training bonus to tier 4?
If I want to train crews I will use tier 3 tanks with a 10%
better bonus. For Russian crew I use my T127. Preferred German
would be PzS35. The 127 is seriously OP in tier 3 and can also
dominate in Tier 4. The PzS35 is the same for tiers 3 and 4 but
can also see tier 5 where it can't dominate due to having low
alpha for tier 5.
T127 cost somewhere around 1000 to 1250 gold and was worth it.
I think I got the Pz for 500 gold in a 50% off tech tree sale
and again worth it. I think the 34-88 was around 6000 gold last
time? Likely they will do a range of offers with less add ons
but it will still be far more expensive, less useful as a
trainer and also less OP in my eyes than my tier 3s :celebrate:
Though I have seen Joe's game in bragging rights which is very
impressive!

My experience with the "bouncy" 88 in other German tanks was my
reason for not fitting the 34-88 into my budget 1st time around.
But there's been times since that I wished I had it so this is
the tank in waiting for also. I just can't drive a Tier III long
enough to train a crew.
I might have to get the Super Pershing though. I've nearly
bought it several times from the Tank Tree.
