Score Cards.

So this is something we have been trying to get going for a
while , and have finally knocked out a version i think will
work.
These scorecards are going to be a running tally that we will
use to take players into clan wars type matches. Below is a
simple point system we will be keeping track of after every
Saturday Night event , or training sessions in the future. We
will notify everyone when , and if our inner clan events are
counting towards these.
1 point per 1000 damage
2 points per 1000 assist damage
2 points per win
Also please note that using a light tanks will put you into your
own pool of players that will not be kept with the general
stats. We know there will be times when doing any damage or
spotting just dosnt happen due to being asked to guard a flank
or being the platoons eyes. We will keep this in mind dont worry
, but after several weeks of these scores being kept i think
those instances will even out over time.
Keep in mind this is a sort of work in progress , we may make
some tweeks to this as we see fit in the future. For now tho ,
we really needed a way to be both transparent and conductive to
team play ( as you will notice kills are not even considered
here ).

Thanks War.... I also want to reiterate what War said, in that
these are still a work in process and will most likely need to
be tweaked as we go along....
Right now, until we work out the kinks, the member names on the
score cards, will be anonymous, you will be given a number that
will allow you to track your scores, but not be able to match
the other scores with members. Each person will know their own
number....

So who is getting score cards? Folks on the competitive teams or
everyone in the clan? Clan report cards?

we are keeping track as of now , but were still trying to
determine the best way to let everyone know where they rank
without putting them out in the spotlight, so to say.

So if I understand this correctly we have come up with scoring
that favors quantity over quality? So a mediocre player with
10000 games will look better than a hot player with 3500 games?
Seems to me this clan is becoming obsessed with competitive play
and clan member ranking...... :confused:

they are doing this for the people that do the Saturday night
showdown. they are not ranking everyone. This is just for the
comp side to detemine who goes on teams for events.

The scorecards we are keeping are only based on what have you
done for us lately kind of thing. Saturday nights and other
training sessions are all that will be kept track of. Overall
stats will not have anything to do with this.
Our competitive play is totally optional , there is no one
forcing anyone to join in on this side of WoT . Were just so far
behind on other clans we had to do something fast so we could
get this off the ground.

Alleycat.... Robert is correct. The scores are based upon the
Saturday showdown training room battles and other clan events
that could fit.....like the recent Black Friday vs. The BoD
competition. This takes into account, like War said, recent
success as well as play under more "competitive" play. If
Saturdays are tough for people to attend, then we can try and
set up events at other times that can meet schedules. Anyone
that "wants in" should be given an opportunity to get into these
events....

Oh, well I apologise for my comments in that case. I should
have waited a little longer to fully understand what was shaking
before commenting... :oops:
Also for the record I'm not against any form of competitive
play, in fact I enjoy reading about the battles that take place
etc. I am concerned that the ranking system may, how to best
word it, dilute the one big happy family atmosphere we have in
this clan.?
