Friday night rumble with VGC

Hello all you fine folks,
As many of you know, OFF has been participating in a weekly,
friendly scrimmage against VGC (Veterans Gaming Clan). These
scrums use the 7/54 format that is popular with the WG League on
the PC. For those that don't know, that is 7 man teams with the
tank tiers totaling 54.
Effective tanks in these matches include:
IS-3
T32
AMX 50 100
Pershing
T-54 LTWT
Walker Bulldog
AMX Chaffee
This is spur of the moment, but we do not have a roster for
TONIGHTS match and need players to sign up ASAP. This is set to
begin at 9:30 EST on the Xbox One, but has traditionally started
late due to technical difficulties.
We are looking for 6 more players to participate. Preference
will be given to players that have not played in the scrimmages
before. For those of you that have been a part of this before,
feel free to drop your name and you will be used as fillers on a
first come, first serve basis.
A few words of warning, these matches can become extremely
addictive! The intensity and adrenaline is hard pressed to be
found in a regular, public match. A battle cry of "Rape Them"
has been known to be heard in these matches before. Prepare to
be pumped up for hours afterward.
Secondly, these matches do not come cheap. Every advantage is
sought after, so premium ammo is primarily used. Same with 105
Octane and Chocolate, etc.
Third, VGC does not mess around. Last time out, they had several
games where they ran a pair of Bulldogs and along with a
Pershing, they would probe our weak spots and then pounce. I
feel OFF would benefit by running a AMX Chaffee along with 6
Tier VIII heavies to try and counter this.

Purely out of curiosity, how are maps selected for these
scrimmages?

I would like to be a part of this, however my experience is the
sum total of zero in this type of match. I can field the Bull
Dog, Pershing and I have the T-69.

Good question. First map is Mines. Winner of that match picks
the second map. We then alternate choice from there. Not sure
about this, but I don't think duplicate maps can be chosen...?

Getting my One adapter tomorrow for my headset, so won't be able
to take part tonight.
:sad:
I did, however, just unlock the Balldog (my preferred name for
it) and will be getting it this weekend, though I do need to
find a way to convert some XP to at least the first package.

I wouldn't mind doing this ..... I did run in last Friday's
scrum though so if there are others who haven't and would like
too I will defer to them .
As Remy has stated , these are FUN and I highly recommend them
.
