Clan time question

Ok so i joined our clan -OFF- which i was very pleased to be
accepted into..
Now what ?? Lol..
By all means have a dig at me as i must be getting old, but i
have looked, then searched, googled it, yahoo'd it.. But i can't
find any actual useful info on clans and how we interact..
What am i missing here guys, i was expecting to log on last
night to a world of clan goodness, but nothing, expect a new
-OFF- thingy by my name.. (Maybe i was expecting it to be like
joining a crew on GTA5,)
Some one guide me or point me in the right direction please...
Is it just that i'm a uk player and miss everyone, or is it a
server location thing, or am i just not getting this clan thing,
lol

The advantages of being in a clan, if things go like on PC
In two words: clan competitions.
Some are just 7 v 7 type match-ups, others are Strongholds, and
some are "most damage caused by X date for the clan". Rewards
vary from tanks to gold, but we'll see how that works. We have a
group of competitive folks who are very interested in this, and
some that aren't -- and that's okay! We're flexible like that.
As of now on Xbox
It's just a social thing, with some friendly match-ups between
clans starting to form. (We have one this weekend with Veteran
Gaming Clan, or VGC, for example.) You also get that tag before
your name, which might be good or bad (some people are being
focused fired because of them, apparently).
For OFF specifically
-- We have regular weekly events, such as TOG Tuesdays, Wallet
Warrior Wednesdays, Friday Night Lights, etc. These are a really
good time and let people focus on playing specific tanks. You

If an event is full, post so in the relevant thread in the
events forum here (that first link above) and we can always add
another platoon, even if informally. And senior members will
usually back out and let newer folks join in, so keep that in
mind (and dwotoff bad about it! we're all good with it. :thumb:
).
-- We also have some special internal events throughout the year
that have prizes (tanks, gold, premium time, t-shirts ... all
kinds of goodies). You can get in idea of past ones, as well as
keep tabs on upcoming ones here:

These have been a blast to do, and I look foward to some ones we
have in the works. Trust me -- Corbantis and I can come up with
some really unique stuff. wotoff
-- Then there is the chance to always have platoon mates. With
200+ members, odds are someone will have the same playing times
as you. And we have quite a few UK OFFers -- oddball,
UrNowGREASED, goodblessings, walshaland (who is actually Irish,
but sameish timezone :bigsmile: ) ... just tons. We might ask
someone to start another group with "OFFUK" or "OFFEU" as the
tag if y'all are interested.
So ... short version: Hopefully clan competitions in the future;
lots of fun OFF stuff and platoon mates for now.

Myself and few other UK Off'ers are usually on most evenings in
the Europe server. I could introduce you to a few of the people
who play casually, If you like.
Iam bored at work so will keep on modifying and rambling ,but
hey dont let this post put you off OFF&F lol .... now then Mr
Fuzzball, there really is no need to feel any apprehension. ( if
ya did, that is, just sayin..(as 'they' say nowadays) though you
probably arent, still with me ?) As regards to adding me or
anyone else on this here forum, All the people Ive played with
in OFF&F have been (reasonably) sane, notwithstanding my
goodself of course...

Umm... seeing as the wife is working all weekend, I will
probably be on this weekend 7th Sat' and 8th Sun' after 9pm (
maybe NA East sever)
Been far far away in another galaxy playing Elite Dangerous, TBH
gone a bit cockpit crazy, feeling the need ta tankit with some
friends again.

So i am right in thinking it's not just log in anytime and Clan
up with who is ever on, lol..
@Trev Kilo SD i shall indeed (once the Kids go to bed) bung a
friend request your way, (thanks for the reassuringly assured
assurance, i don't like to step on peoples toe's (not that, that
is actually possible via a forum/game) as a newbie here, i like
to slowly force my way in :P ) and will definitely take your
kind offer of introducing me to some of my/our/yours fellow
British Wotters.. Awesome...
And what fond memories i have of Elite, but that was back in the
BBC Model b Micro days, then the spectrum, Thank you for that MR
Sinclair.. and your keyboard of dead flesh goodness... :D

I think i have had my head in a bucket of porridge and missed
all this clan stuff. Yep i think offuk is rather a good no
nonsense , not offensive to anybody and rather cool name .

The only problem will be the wot nanny police who my miss
understand it

At this time, we aren't "splitting off" OFF, but there is
serious consideration of getting the UK'ers their own OFF Clan
tag. I know that there is also some talk about getting some OFF
events that are more UK time-zone friendly. Whether that is a
TOG platooning event, Thunder pack Thursday, or Wallet Warrior
Wednesday, which are all some of the most popular events we
have, but are geared around NA time zones.
That being said, if there is anyone from the UK looking to do
something like this, let me, COrbantis, or IceMaiden know via
PM. I know that we have heard from at least one person about
running an event that is more UK centric.

Actually, that's exactly what you can do! My friends list is
almost all OFFers, and there's pretty much someone on any time
I'm online.
(Do note that you are 100% free to platoon with anyone -- we
don't make anyone platoon with just OFFers. So please don't
think that's the case, either!)
Also: Do you have a One or 360?

this weekend... I was supposed to meet and greet
but between me watchin' the Mets disintegrate and you with the

Yeah, you should've just skipped that Mets game...

This town is STILL just smiling from ear to ear. And we have
tons of respect for the Mets -- it was an outstanding Series!
