I have a Turtle beach X12 headset that I can hardly hear anyone
on. It was bought last christmas so I cant return it. Anyone
have any idea how on earth I can fix it? I just dont want to buy
a new one that is 10 bucks and have crap when I could fix this
one for the same price. :charge:

Russ, I have the X12 as well and it could be the cable that
plugs in from the controller to the volume adjustment on the
main cable. I sometimes have to play with it to get good
reception. You can pick one up at Radio shack for $5-10.

I'll stick with my el cheapos that work perfectly fine. Seems
like the Turtle Beach headsets are more problematic.

it is usually the puck that plugs into the controller that
always messes up not the headaet themselves though

I have an idea that you may, or may not have considered, hit the
center xbox button and go to preferences and then select voice,
you may have the voice volume down. that was the problem in my
case. Good luck :palm:

I have the same headset. Occasionally I will switch from chat
to game and back and then I get nothing. I end up rebooting to
get my sound back. Seems to be getting better, but I blame it
on the game not the hardware. I also have a Mad Catz Triton 720
that I love, but it squeezes my fat head and gives me a
headache.
