5 secs to killed

First battle with Panther 2 today (I want the e50 so bad). Mali,
standard, south spawn. 2 secs into match, driver dead, 3 secs,
tracked, 4 secs blown turret, can't turn my gun. I just gave up.
Why waste the silver to repair. Tier X battle. There were 2 tier
8's on our team, well make that 1 after 5 secs. Kinda
frustrating.

As much as I complain about it I'm at times thankful that view
ranges and effective gun range is well below the real deal.
With maps equaling a square klick matches would be over in
seconds on some of them.

Thought I had the record at 7 seconds. Fishermans bay in KV1.
Spawn start to traverse to go to town. Opfor spotter comes
suiscouting straight to our base. Hadn't even completed 180º of
traverse and tank was annihilated. :deer: :pissed:

As an E50 driver myself all I can say is prepare for angst pain
and woe :palm:
The grinds are awful although they have been made a little
better since 1.3 as it saves you around 50k xp for a now non
existent top engine on the final package.
This is, of cause, all personal opinion. You may find you really
like it.
I just find it's too slow to be a medium. Too weak to be a
heavy. And for its tier it has the guns of a light tank.
All being said and done. I must enjoy it on some level as I
still play it and am now 24k away from the top 105mm gun

You have to get your angles right when using E50, otherwise
you're just cannon fodder for heavies and TD's. It's a nice
tank once you get used to it and have the final package ( E50M
is slightly better ). Use the sneak and peek technique in
battles and you won't go far wrong

As someone currently grinding the Patton 46, I think it's safe
to say that all the high-tier medium grinds are difficult -
especially when your tank is stock. The grinds are long and you
are virtually useless when you are a stock tank. The Patton's
biggest advantage, its view range, requires two upgrades to get
the full benefit and you don't get the top gun (Only a 105)
until the final package.
I've heard great things about the British tier 9 medium
(Centurion 7/1) and I'm about 60K XP away from unlocking it so
we'll see what that holds...

I hate high tier standard battles on mali for that reason. I
immediately put it in reverse and hope a scout isnt racing
accrossed the field at me.

watch the timer of the match sometimes when this happens to me
the matchis already 30 seconds into the game

I know what you mean... late entry. I especially love it when I
am arty and it's a late start. Great, now they are gonna light
em up and i still have to go park my a$$ in a safe zone.
