Mine too Alleycat, until yesterday. After two of the worst days
I can remember of lone wolfing I had thought: When playing
alone this is NOT a team game. Do what's best for you, let the
rest of the greens worry about themselves. 13 tanks go right,
why in the hell should I stay and try to protect the left side?
All that's going to happen are the reds roll over the top of me
and make me feel like a failure. The lemming train rarely does
the right thing, they come up against a few reds and stop. So I
started doing what I think is best, taking care of my tank and
if the reds get to arty or the base, so be it. While my winning
percentage has dropped, my WN8 has increased and I'm no so horse
from yelling at the TV!

Yup , when lone wolfing it , being a team player is out the
window if I see lemming trains , base camping chicken-shitz or
mindless yolo'ers. theres just nothing you can do beside accept
the loss and try to put up as good of stats as you can.
I know a lot of platoon mates I play with will try to cover the
flank when our lemming train leaves the station , but lets face
it, what good are 3 or 4 tanks going to do against half their
team or more. your just sitting yourself up to get destroyed .
will you slow them down ?? maybe...will your numbers suffer
doing this every match ?? it aint gonna help em !
this game is all about damage , the more you get , the more xp
you make , the more silver you make.....screw the greens !!

To me the sign of a good tanker has very little to do with
stats(obv absolute garbage not withstanding)as they are easilly
manipulated and far more to do with an abilty to read and
anticipate situations on the map and act accordingly.
Also the willingness to take one for the team ie go hold off
those 5 tanks coming down the left flank knowing you are going
to die but may just buy enough time for the rest of your team to
either get back and defend or push on and capture theirs,people
worried abouts stats generally won't do this.
Time and time again I see tanks "defending the base" and when
the enemy puts up a concerted attack and looks they will prob
take the base those same tossers up and fuck off leaving the
enemy a free run in when if they'd stayed held up the enemy
longer we could have won but stats yeah.
Learn weak spots,angling,use of cover,when to push,when to
hold,when to back up team mates,when to fall back to a secondary
postion and when to sacrifice yourself for the team will make
you a far better player than needlessly worrying about stats.

I regards to lonewolfing what you fellas say is probably true
75% of the time but I’ve come across some pretty good teams of
random greens.
Just last night I was playing my 34-88 and after getting tracked
in the open a team mate pulls up in from of me in a KV85 and
blocks a couple shots that surely would have finished me off.
Went on to have a monster game, highest damage, top gun etc...
Sent the guy a message after thanking him and his exact response
was “team work ;)” All that to say there are still some good
ones out there....

Well , I guess we have to disagree on this one..if the greens
aren't smart enough to figure out " hey ,we have 14 guys going
on one side of the map" what makes you think they are going to
be smart enough to do anything with the "time you buy them" ?
id rather take the loss and survive with no repairs than get
slaughtered and stranded by myself with no help in sight. the
greens are bad , and they are only getting worse with the new
players since the One launch. Just take a random check like I do
when its a lopsided window lick contest , most of the time you
will find out your entire team is around 40-48% w/l. I have done
this many many times. theres just no helping teams like this !
Especially once you get some Tier 10s, you quickly learn the
lesson of not taking one for the team when the team is morons ,
and your repair bill sends you skyrocketing into the negative
silver range !!

@ALLEYCAT, I agree as I have been on some good teams while lone
wolfing, but you'll need to up your percentage to more around
99.9% that they're potatoes!

getting better or not, and that's about it. I agree with you
that a good tanker's stats might not reflect that they are
unicum or even average, but I've had my fill of POS's over the
weekend and they are on their own if I'm on their team. I think
it's what War is talking about, the new peeps since the Xbone
came online just don't care and they're causing me not too.

its sad that you have to be like that , but at a certain point
you just get used to the suck-teams and lose all sense of caring
for about 15 mins.
When 14 guys all go to the hill on himmelsdork , with arty
scouting and leading the charge , then you have 2 TDs sitting at
the base shooting each other for the 1st 90 seconds...whats the
point......its a loss and nothing you do is gonna stop it.
I wish I was making this scenario up ,but if I had a dollar
every time ive seen it play out ....well........you know.

This game has been full of shit players since it came out of
beta though so not really getting the point to be honest.
With regards 10's Warsteiner I've had the E3 and E5 since about
3 weeks after it went live but don't play them as much because
teir10 was only indicitive of skill level for about the first
few months of the beta as most are too worried about getting hit
and their repair bills to do anything.That and I've never felt
like I've needed the crutch of being constantly top tier.
The thing I don't understand is what everyone does with their
money to be honest so repairs are a concern.I've 53 tanks in my
garage,all fully equipped and 95mil in silver and I don't use
premuim apart from when we get free days nor do I convert or buy
silver.Granted thats built up since we came out of beta but
still it just seems odd to me.
Still this is all just my view and people can choose to ignore
it as they see fit as it is after all "your" game. :superdrunk:
