was wondering about a couple of tanks

Ok so I finally broke 1 million silver and would like to get
some opinions on a couple tanks. As of right now I am very
close to unlocking the t-34 and kv-1 on the Russian line. From
the German line I can buy the VK 30.01 d and on my way to the VK
36.01 h & VK 30.01 p. Would like to know from my fellow clan
members, their thoughts on these tanks if they have used them.

I like the KV-1, especially with the derp :gunning: I fing hate
the T34. You are in for some resl fun where you are in the
German line. The 30.01d was a riot. The 36.01 is still an
awesome tank.

The Vk36.01H is a terrific tank. Just for persprective, my wife,
who has just completed her 3,000th game, does wonderfully in
this tank, and she is still learning the ropes. It will serve
you very well. The KV-1 is no slouch.

My question to you is........How do you like to play????
The T34 leads up the Russian medium line, which is the best
overall medium line in the game. Great guns, great armor,
trollish turrets at 9 and 10, good speed. T34 not great, T34-85
is great at 6.
The KV1 leads up the IS line, with the IS3 a great heavy at Tier
VIII. The IS8 and 7 tend to be a little less liked. That is a
line of brawlers.
The 30.01D is great fun, like Mickey said. Fast, accurate, good
pen. The 02D is pretty good as well and I LOVE the Indien
Pander. Leopard PTA, not so much. Leapord X, great gun, paper
armor. Overall, good pen, good speed, accurate guns, less
armor.
Never played the German heavies, but now that they got some
buffs, seem better.....However, if you watch the "pro players"
they steer away from the 2 German heavy lines picking the IS7/
T110E5/ T57 lines with the autoloading French heavies as well.

I appreciate the responses I have received so far. Oxi I have
been doing a combo of trying to snipe and flanking attacks in my
mediums. Still haven't got into the heavy lines yet.

Oxi had some great advice....most tanks are a long term decision
process once you get to the 5/6 tier range. You can also "fish
or cut bait" at this stage as well since the prices paid (ground
out) to this point are not too debilitating.
Just be happy War didn't chime in on the French line...

The KV-1 is one of my fave tanks and borderline over powered
when top tier. They are NOT snipers but brawlers: pull up, blast
them in the face, back up into cover. Rinse and repeat. The guns
will troll you at times -- you'll miss from point blank, and
then nail a 400 meter snapshot.
I've played the VK36/Tiger I line but not the Porsche line (the
one that leads to the Maus). VK36 is still a good tank, but
nowhere near what it was as a medium. The 30.02 M is also a
GREAT tank if you head that way.
The Russian mediums are...odd. The T-34 is okay but has horrific
aim time despite good speed and a workable gun. The 34-85 is a
wonderful tank--one of the best tier VI mediums, IMHO, with a
really good gun, good speed, and trollish armor at times. The
T-43 is a flaming piece of crap that does nothing well--speed is
okay, gun is the same as the tier VI, armor is useless at tier
VII including the mantlet. The T-44 (tier VIII) has been a joy
so far but free XP to the first 100 mm package, as taking the
same 85 mm you had at tier VI into tier X games will make you
want to go on a murderous rampage.
tl; dr: you won't regret the KV-1; VK36 is good; T-34 leads to
some good and bad tanks.

I like both the Russians and the German lines! Surprised I said
I like the Russians, lol so was I! But I do like them both to me
it's all in they way you like to play! German line snipe and
then go pick up the left overs! All the Russians I have used
have all been great brawlers!

The Russian mediums are the ultimate Flankers.... The 8,9, and
10s also have accurate guns so can snipe in a pinch.....only
problem.....horrible gun depression, so you need to learn how to
work hills a little differently.
