I'm confused but will be down for whatever this Saturday.

So two captains, one of which is Warsteiner, are gonna pick
teams?
Bring your best Tier 6?
Are we limiting to heavy & mediums? OR bring SPGs & TDs?
Just lemme know who has the last pick in the draft so I can
report for duty.

i will be stepping down from leader of this event.
i realize i may have over stepped my bounds by bringing the
whole competetion thing into this , and im totally cool with
that. i dont want to force any unneeded per-pressure on anyone
and thats not what i even intended to do.
as noted in a few of the PMs ive gotten ...no , i am not a BOD
nor any type of leader at all...i just wanted to start our Clan
Wars side of things. Im sorry i stepped on so many peoples feet
as i have obviously touched a few nerves.
this is the 2nd time i have tried bringing this up and the 2nd
time i have received less than favorable response not only in
the forums but p.ms also.
again...im sorry....i will no longer be heading up the saturday
events .
ive obviously been overstepping my role.......wont happen again
!

I kinda agree with this too, was looking forward to the Fury/88
and Tiger2/IS3 brawls! But I'm down for whatever! :dance:

Wow...seriously? PMs? That is disappointing.
Here in the open I thought the response was very favorable, but
obviously not.
Oh, well, anyone volunteering to run this now?

Wow, I am not sure where all this is coming from. Though there
was some initial confusion related to what War was trying to do,
he was not trying to make the Saturday Showdown into an event
just for the chosen few....This is an event for everyone and to
be honest War is doing a great job of getting this rolling and
running with what is a great event.....even though I am 0-2....
That being said......... As both Faethor and War have talked
about/ eluded to in posts today.......
Sooner rather than later we ARE going to have to address the
question of what the hell we are going to do once WGs version of
Clan Wars is out for the XBox... You can see the writing on the
wall with the 3x3 tournament that WG is putting on.
When Clan Wars, or whatever it is comes out, we will have a
team......that team will need to practice...... There will need
to be alternates/ people to fill in due to life..... My feeling
on the matter is that now is as good of a time as any to get
this started. This thread and the "Being competative" thread
are there to help us think about what we want to do and how we
want to get there. It is a work in progress and we will have
several iterations to get there. I think it is great that
someone raises the question and kinda runs with it. There were
many positive and constructive comments in these threads and
this is good. What is not good is some people's reaction.......
There will be bruised egos..... There will be butthurt.....no
way around it. That being said, we have plenty of opportunities
for different levels of competitive play..... 5v5 Friday or
Showdown Saturspday will be there as long as there is interest.
This is my position and doesnt necessarily reflect the
BoD...Personally NO member should feel that they have to step
back from an event that they took the reigns on and made into a
great event and I am sorry that it came to that..... This group
doesnt run itself......We should freely express our opinion and
test the waters on things......We are supposed to be adults
here.
Finally, to be honest, War is one hell of a strategist and if
anyone is going to coordinate Clan/ team competitive events I
can't think of too many that I would put ahead of him. This is
a great Clan and we have some great tankers and people but we
will need to deal with this soon.
