Fallout 3 was more linear. New Vegas allowed you to set your own
path.
BTW, they are taking pre orders already. I would plunk down my
caps, I'm hoping for some special launch edition or something
instead of the plane Jane pack they have now.

I think the December 31 date is a place holder. If I recall
correctly, they will announce a release date at E3 later in the
month (16-18).

Rumor is it will be similar release date as 3 was, which was Oct
28 then so that closest Tuesday, the 27th

Bethesda announced the release date of Fallout 4 at
E3......November 10, 2015..... They also announced a new Doom
game!

I liked Fallout 3 on the PC, but it didn't feel right without a
mouse and keyboard.
