Still keeping this on my radar...
Guderian, that drive aint bad. I was setting up my trip with a
hotel 30-40 minutes away from Rockford just because the drive is
easy, and to make sure of the availability of a room.

Take a flight into O'Hare, rent a car, get your hotel in
Rockford. If you want, I will pick you up at the airport, and
take you to Rockford. They can have your rental car waiting for
you at the hotel. Also, many hotels run a shuttle service so
that you don't need to try and find your way around O'Hare.
Just stayed at the Sleep Inn in Rkfd for $70/night two weeks
ago, 2 person accupancy. decent room, free breakfast in the
dowstairs breakfast area, plenty of parking, topless club on the
corner (Tiger Tail Lounge), plenty of resturants within a 1 mile
radius, and you're about 3-5 miles from the festival grounds.
Also, other hotels include Extended Stay America, Holiday Inn,
Motel 6, Red Roof Inn, Comfort Inn, Staybridge Suites, Super 8,
Hampton Inn, Residence Inn, Hilton Gardens Inn, CoCo Key Water
Resort and Hotel (for Brad), Courtyard Marriot, Radisson Hotel,
Quality Inn and Suites, Candlewood Suites, Ramada Inn, etc.
Those are all the ones within a 3k radius.
Lots of travel websites will let you do bundles
(flight/car/hotel), which will save you a bucket o'cash.

I am actually going to miss this year, as well. I have a
business thing on the 26th in Muscoda, WI, and I promised my
wife I would go to a huge flea market in Elkhorn, WI on the
27th.
Dammit... :sad:

I had planned on attending, and did book the week off work. But,
personal matters are taking me to Florida instead....
But I am meeting up with Ice and (hopefully) Corbantis while I'm
there....so I still get to meet some fellow OFFers after all!!
