Q: Team Training mode?

I've checked the official forums, and while there are some
development references (mostly beta) to a Team Training mode,
there is nothing like a statement of intent to bring that mode
forward to public servers.
Now I know I run into the mandatory cone-of-silence when talking
with SuperTesters, I'd not ask anyone to jeopardize their ST
status on disclosing anything improper, but can anyone answer if
there IS a Team Training mode planned (or in dev existence)?
I just think it would be nice to be able to walk through a map
with some clan mates to sort of go through the "note that when
you're here in a low slung tank you're not spotted, yet you can
still pop up this much to get a view and a shot" etc.
It was the Tank Jumping film that made me think of it... the
ability to just mess around with some of the tanks with
clan-mates and get used to spotting mechanics, certain terrain
features, tactics and counter-moves, etc. would be great.
So while I suspect that 7-man platoons will be first (and I'm
not complaining... let dev get their time on a much needed
feature), has there been ANY discussion of Team Training that
isn't under NDA besides the one or two ST/Beta notes I found on
the WoT boards?

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any training
mode.
I can, however, confirm that when us OFFers get together on test
that we will look for little places on newer maps.
For example, on Abbey, the road on the western side (opposite of
the lake/river road) has a number of places you can get to on
the very western edge of the map -- little rocky depressions
along that side that a T-29 could fit into and set up a nice
little ambush while hiding the hull, or where a TD could park
and cover the flank.
Haven't actually tried it in a game yet, but will if I get a
chance. :-)
We'll do the same for Erlenberg and Arctic Region if we manage
to get either of those maps.

there has been no info on team training anywhere. But as TKE
said we have found some interesting spot on some maps and we
will start posting those.

I've found quite a few videos on youtube which do this: i.e.
walk you through each map pointing out where to sit and in what.
They were done by a guy on the PC game but it's the same on our
maps. I credit it with increasing my enjoying (and success
somewhat) on widepark which I used to hate with a passion. Now I
just hate it.

I hear that Chief! I have often said that if there's "one map"
I'd not shed a tear over losing, it would be Widepark.
I actually downloaded the PC version to 'play with' just for
that reason, but honestly I like the 360 version better for a
number of reasons - one of which is consistent graphics
performance, but even the gameplay is "better" IMO - maybe I've
been doing consoles too long.
Besides, I can't afford (in time or money) to play TWO tank
games, LOL.
**edit** But I forgot to say, thanks I'll look for some of those
videos on YouTube.
And also thanks to everyone else's posts. I too, hope it comes
soon....
