I will have to research this, as it appears
intriguing....hmmmmmm. Any info on this game would be
appreciated. I've done the standard searches and watched a few
videos, but personal impressions would be nice...thanks in
advance!

Bought the Xbox version a couple of weeks ago. This is not a
game for the impatient. I have about 20 hours of exploring. Here
are a couple links to sites which have helped me (most are for
the pc version but it seems the games are alot alike).

I don't think I am long enough in the game (still in a
Sidewinder) to be ready to form a wing. I don't have any combat
skills to speak of. Once I get better I would be willing to team
up. Right now I am exploring to upgrade a ship, then probably
some mining.

I went down the trading route. Big ship no guns. Every hop comes
with fear of attack by pirates after you hold of expensive
items. Even bio waste. :mooning: ( one man's scrap is another
man's gold)but needless to say having the biggest engines fitted
just boost boost boost and RUN AWAY is the strategy I used.
Finding a fighter jock to form in a wing helps with pirates.
cmdr b.munkie helped me a lot. I think he is in some star bar in
hip 4532p gun for hire if sober

You got the Creds to pay for protection, I'll fly escort ( If
players wing up all wing members get a share in the profits made
from trading, as long as the wing has been active for most if
not all of the trading run , I think ).

I'm heading your way. I'm about 25 jumps out and I've bought
myself a Hauler. I did about 15 jumps yesterday with stops along
the way to make some quick cash.

I will admit to actually liking this game now.... initial few
weeks of frustration learning the controls & understanding the
game better (it is massive).... thanks to help from Shadders,
Bullet, Herby & of course there continuing assistance.

Slowly building up my credit value mainly by cherry picking
missions from the Bulletin Boards & hanging out at Nav beacons
to take out the naughty space commanders.
Plan to have a go at mining within the next few days as there is
plenty of profit to be made there as well.
Also it is a nice break away from WoT.. I was beginning to find
the game more annoying than usual due to the incompetence of
many NON OFFers in multi-player :hitself:
Catch up later online.
