I believe that there is a general consensus among the PC and 360
community that WN8 is the best measure of effectiveness in the
game. The important things to note about WN8 vs. efficiency is
damage and kills are by far the most important in regards to WN8
score. They kind of go hand in hand so really just focus on
damaging the enemy. The other factors are not so important.
Efficiency is based more heavily on capping and defending. Get
an invader medal and your efficiency will sky rocket.
Also with WN8 the damage you do is scaled based upon what tank
you are using. For example if you routinely get 1000 damage per
game in your ELC you will have an extremely high WN8 as the
target value for this tank is something like 500. Conversely if
you do 1000 damage per game in your waffle you will have a very
low WN8 as the target value is something like 3000.
My WN8 goes up consistentlly now that I play medium tanks and am
improving in them. Target values in mediums are quite low in
comparison to other classes like heavies and TDs because in
general people just don't know how to play mediums effectively.
Why is this important? Winning is more fun than losing.
Contributing more to the team effort helps in winning battles.
Sure you can have awful teams where ultimately you can have a
great performance and still lose badly but in general do better
-> win more. I know this is a pretty casual clan but as a group
we should strive to improve.
How do you increase damage per game? In my opinion staying alive
is the best option. Try to be aware of what is going on around
you and retreat from a bad position rather than hold your ground
and die. You cannot cause damage if you are eliminated from the
game. Also if the team lemming trains one way then do not try to
defend a flank by yourself. Be aware that the flank is
undefended and retreat to the safety of the lemming train. You
can always turn around to defend the base once the reds get
there.

Hi Sgt,
I looked up your info. Overall your WN8 is 748 but over the past
52 battles you are at 1266 so that is a great improvement. From
what I can tell the improvement comes from an increase in damage
per game which is 103 per game higher than your historical
average. So keep doing what you are doing. You are improving!

YOu will get the recent information once you go back again. It
does not show up the first time you are on the site.

Digital, I totally agree with you on this....especially the part
about medium tanks. They are so versatile, that even if you
don't hit your damage quota, you have more of an opportunity to
pick up the slack in other areas....spotting, assists, base
defense.
I think that staying alive is key. when my survival rate goes
down all the other stats go with it, especially damage....

I am seeing the exact same thing with mine -- the more mediums I
play (and, more importantly, play well) the better it seems to
be. That and MY GOD do I love playing them. :gunning:

This x eleventy bajillion. It is by FAR the most underrated stat
in the game, IMHO.
When I decided to start focusing on my survival rate --
including going all Brave Sir Robin and running away when needed
:smileplain: -- ALL of my other stats went up with it. Just in
the past month my WN8 has averaged more than 1,800, my win rate
is 60%, and my k/d is 2.6. And most of that is due to the fact
I'm surviving around 46% of my battles (without camping or
hiding at the end of a match, even! )
Simply put: The longer you live --> the more shots you can take
--> the more damage you do --> the more kills you get --> the
more wins you earn.

Remember: "Fun" is the one thing WN8 doesn't track.

Following the lemming train may be wise thing to do but I just
can't bring myself to do it.
Spose that's why my survival rate is so low....lol

Thanks to everyone who took time to work on my stats. Looking
forward to seeing them go up with the great group of OFF that I
have been platooning with.
