Just something I've been pondering

Now I know that we're scattered all over the world. From
Singapore to the UK. But there are areas where there might be
several of us. Like the Midwest, New Zealand, Florida, the
Southwest. Is there something in your area that would serve as a
place where some of us could get together, have a beer, share
some laughs? Gaming Cons orWorld War II reenactments for
example. I know that someone had mentioned a WWII reenactment
around the Rockford Illinois area. That might not be bad for
those in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa. There's
Reenactorfest around the Chicago area….
Thoughts? Ideas?

I live in Versailles Kentucky just outside Lexington. I would
love to go out for some Bourbon and Horses racing.

I'm right in between Milwaukee and Chicago. The re-enactment
thing sounds awesome (I hit at least one per year, usually
Rockford), as that is right in with the game we play.
Rockford usually has a Hetzer with the 75mm, a Locust, M5
Stewart, M4A2 Sherman, Weasle, Grayhound, Hanomag, trucks of all
kinds, motorcycles, jeeps, USO with free cookies, a few period
automobiles, a dance on Saturday night, etc. They also have an
M3 Halftrack with the 75mm AT gun, Pak 40 AT gun, Kettenkrad
towing a dual 20mm flak gun, and several others I'm forgetting.
2 years ago, they had a Russian T34 that was a gift from Gorby
to the USA. It resides up in Sturgen Bay, WI at a museum, iirc.
Comes out now and then for re-enactments such as this. Transport
cost is the inhibitting factor, though.
