Per the announcement, yes -- it'll be 100% cross-compatible with
all features. Just not sure how friends lists work between the
two -- are they the same? Does the friends list on the 360
transfer to those with a One and vice versa? Does the One have
the idiotic 100-person limit?
Other than that the biggest difference is probably the graphics.
Wonder, however, how that'll work -- with the One have more
bushes? How will that work with someone on the 360 who can't
render them?
Get the feeling Wargaming is in uncharted territory with this
idea ...

This looks like WoT's typical preliminary, preliminary
announcement....no time frames, or any other "hard info". I am
sure the WoT forums are going nuts with speculation.

You would be correct. Dozens of threads. Its kinda out of
hand, but that's why I love it there.

Currently you cannot join a party or chat between platforms.
But you can see your friend's online status on either platform.
On the 360 you can't see what title someone in the One is
playing. It just says "Xbox One".
However, the One is slated to get the new Windows 10 update some
time this year, and it's possible that will open up some of the
limitations between it and the 360. If WG is privy to this
info, maybe that's how they are planning to make it work.
But in all the announcements I've read so far, I've haven't seen
any promises of cross platform platooning. That makes me
skeptical. Can any provide a link?

Yes, the friends lists are the same, though you can have up to
1000 friends on the One, rather than 100.

THe graphics will be better, for sure. If there are additional
terrain features, like bushes, they most likely will not have
any game effect since that would give an advantage to the users
of the One.

I have not seen any specific statement related to cross platform
platooning.
I am pretty stoked with the Windows 10 update and the fact that
they are also opening up the One as a development kit. The App
development on the One will explode.

Well that gives me a reason to buy the XBONE now. Now I can
justify it to myself without buyer's remorse.

It would be pretty cool if they would allow you to integrate
smartglass and get a real-time mini map on your tablet.
