Here comes the new Tiger.....(same as the old tiger??)

I ask this question rhetorically.
Is the new Tiger really better, and I mean noticeably better?
Should I buy it again for the third time hoping I will not suck
in it this time?
Does anyone have a scenario to prove its better worse. For
instance, hypothetically, you stood toe to toe with a T-29 and
found that (in equal) hands, the tank held its own or in fact
now could dominate this tank.
Ok...any empirical evidence would be helpful before I probably
do the inevitable...
(I also believe there is a placebo effect on the forum as users
hear there is a buff and then the think the vehicle discussed is
immediately OP when they are in it or when they face it.)

Well...as I have bought and sold the Tiger innumerable times and
too was curious about the buffs, that and the fact that it is on
sale, I bought it back...again...for some reason I have always
struggled with the Tiger and my stats bear this out. I do not
think I will be able to answer your question to your
satisfaction but I can say this...ran 3 games with it last
night, on Mali and Karelia I was able to set up as a sniper and
I must say the increased ROF and reduced Aim time were
noticeable and I was able to "put a lot of lead" on target
quickly and effectively... got 3 and 4 kills on the maps
respectively...last match Ensk...found myself having to brawl
with another Tiger and an IS..that did not go as well, but the
increased HP had me lasting longer and the increased ROF allowed
me to bloody both opposing tanks noses pretty well prior to my
destruction...in a word she's still no brawler but she's
better...over all I would say the improvements are welcome and
at this stage I am happy I repurchased her and I think I'll keep
her this time...sorry for the length of the answer... :shades:

I'm certainly no expert on the Tiger, but I was running rammer,
gun laying drive and optics...I will possibly exchange the gun
laying drive or rammer for vents when I have a skilled
crew...but there are others here who are better able to answer
this...and I too am curious about their thoughts on this...

A little independent anecdotal observation......Well, I ran my
T29 for a good 10-15 games last night and came across a bunch of
Tigers, more than I usually see. I would say that I seemed to
get Penned a little more when targeted by Tigers, so seems to be
a little better..... But they still all fell to the might that
is the T29.....Bwahhhhhhhaaaaahhaaaa :worship:

The first game I ran, I had 16 shots, 16 hits, and 16
penetrations, killing two T-29s.
When moving or panning, the reticle stays tiny.

Well...one must remember Oxi's great affinity for the T29...it
rivals his love of the Comet...so... :troll:

have not had a chance to check this new Tiger out...being that I
made a commitment to running mediums and lights now , I was
shocked that I didn't even notice the Tigers buffs in the patch
notes.
I think I may buy that ole thing back and give it another spin ,
I was a big fan of it even before the last patch.
