I have a Turtlebeach X12 currently which is good enough that
people aren't muting me but I sure would like to get a wireless
rig and loose those cables. If I had a dollar for everytime I
stood up and jerked them off my head because I was standing on
the cord I could by a wireless headset. And not to mention
having to unwrap the cord every time I want to play and then
wrap it back up when I'm done. bah, humbug.

They are made especially for Warsteiner in Russia, he listen to
the game in one ear and speeches of the dear Comrade in guiding
him with ghostly advice through the other one

Thank You everyone for your ideas and recommendations. Will
start shopping tonight. Regarding the cost, I do have some
Christmas and birthday moniez stashed, so I'll dip into that to
make up the difference.
As far as the keyboard goes, I have some here at work that are
brand new, but had been tossed by IT because they were over 3
years old. I'll just grab one of those.

I have your answer right here.
HTML http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-X2-Xbox-Headset-360/dp/B005HWEZN4/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t
If you have a good surround sound setup on your TV then these
Seinheiser's are the way to go. The mic is built not to pick up
anything but your voice and I've found it works really good
except if my 4 year is yelling extremely loud about something or
the dog barks. It wouln't pick up just regular conversation
level noise at all. I have it set so only voice comes through
the headset and leave all the game noises to the surround sound.
This really makes me feel like I'm in the game!
5 stars for sure on these if you have the right setup. I've been
banging them around for 6 months now and they are still going
strong.
