I had one game of Cliff, Encounter and the flag is at the top of
the horseshoe. I was on the S spawn and rolled all the way
around the lighthouse and three of us basically crushed all the
people camping middle. People seem to discount this way a
little, at least based on my limited data set.

German Durchbruchswagen 2 Heavy Tank (Tier IV): For me, seems
like a faster version of a T-1 Heavy. Haven't done well with
this one but then I haven't upgraded any of the guns/packages.
Thought it would be like a VK36. It seems to have a decent
       stock gun and armor.
Sorry if I did not platoon once again. 4X I had the Xbox lock
up in solo battles -- if I was platooned everyone would think I
was AFK. Ended up powering down and rebooting the Xbox.
Interesting behavior since each time I came up into the battle
that was ongoing usually 2-6 minutes into the battle.
Regardless of where I spawned, I was still alive and sitting
there. Couple of times the scenario would start the battle
sequence from the start (i.e., present the Komarin Standard
Battle) but then jump wherever I left off in the game prior to
lockup. I'm quite sure others figured I was AFK until I started
suddenly tanking since I had a link once again.
But then there were tanks doing light speed during these battles
so this must be some sort of link issue.
I also noted that I got a Server Down message, I think twice.
Rebooted the Xbox twice and the battles that were on-going were
       gone.
In Mali I noted that there is 3 water-color pastel rectangular
patterns on the ground right by the windmill @ top of hill.
Once again I am sure my team was unhappy with me since I wasted
about a minute checking this out and inspecting from all camera
angles. Seems like a washed-out American flag pattern for all
       3.
I did note that the tanks that I did check out in my collection
seem to behave differently. The VK36 is not as fast and the gun
is not as powerful. My T-1 does not go as fast either and I
lost quite a few battles --- this is one of my "go-to" tanks
when I need Silver, but not at this point anymore.

They nerfed the snot out of it. It's quite a bit slower (the
theoretical top speed can't be reached unless you're heading
downhill ... with a tailwind ... and half a dozen Hellcats
pushing) and the Konisch got a damage nerf of around 20, I
believe. They also reduced the armor.
Basically, they're going to force folks into using the 8.8 on
it, or entice them into spending gold to convert XP to get the
Tiger, as the 36 had all the fun taken out of it.
       I haz a sad.

I don't understand why, if they're changing the tank from a
medium to a heavy, why they would nerf the armor and not buff
       it.

Does not bode well for my new D (whatever that German tank
name). I am much better with the nerfed VK 36 than this new
       German D tank.

My guess is that the stats showed it was a tad too OP for WG's
liking -- too many folks playing it, too many rounds bouncing,
       etc.
Still ticks me off to no end, but given how well my average a$$
did in it, I can kinda see their point.
       :smileplain:
What I REALLY don't get is why they nerfed the Tiger I's armor.
From what I've read and found on test, the damn thing might as
well have been cardboard before. Now it's gotta be like tissue
paper. NOT looking forward to grinding that one and not sure I
want to dump gold into converting XP.
Combine that with the lack of buffs that were supposed to be
included but weren't (gun depression and ROF being the two
biggies) and I'm not sure what the hell WG was thinking
(assuming they were with this update).

I can't speak for how the Tigers play post patch, but they're
not as bad as some would have you believe. Don't get me wrong,
a T-29 and a Black Prince will destroy a Tiger head to head
but, if played correctly, the Tiger is a fun tank to play. You
say that you like to sit back and snipe so the Tiger might be a
heavy that is just up your alley - they have good accuracy,
decent reload, and good aim time.

Respectfully, I'm asking why WargamingX feels it's important to
adjust packages at all at this point? Are you concerned with
maintaining parity with the PC game? Are you concerned that the
adjusted tanks were statistically OP? I'm trying not to assume
       your reasoning.

The community has expressed concern about changes to specific
tank stats and perceived performance drops. Additionally, some
have expressed concerns that we're getting all the stat
reductions from 8.10(PC) but none of the buffs to offset.

Thank you in advance for any information you can share.
       Response:
Most of the changes we made for 1.3 were due to changes in the
tech tree or a removed component from a tank. Tanks are the
core of the IP for World of Tanks and we try to maintain parity
with the tech tree. We use the base server code that PC uses so
when they remove a particular component from existence entirely
we have to make the call if we are going to diverge and have to
keep track of those changes every time we update server code.
In most cases removal of components were for important balance
reasons so we do the same to keep future merges nice and neat.
When we don't agree with the change we make an exception. For
example there were many changes to Arty in 8.6 and even more
changes to tons of tanks in 8.10 that we decided not to take to
preserve our balance. As much as we tried to make the right
choice for each tank, there's always the possibility that we may
not have. Feedback from Super Testers is the first line of
defense against our overlooking something. After the game
releases and the changes have been played thousands of times we
can datamine the results and make a more accurate assessment of
the changes, adjusting where necessary. Hope that answers your
       question.
Take away: The deliberately chose to IGNORE the German line
upgrades they made on the PC when they nerfed the German line on
Xbox.... do we need any more proof of their bias???
