Tanks that are "cursed'

As the folks platooned with me last night know all too well, I’m
not a huge fan of the Jagdpanther II. (Sorry for being all
ragey. :pissed: )
Yes, the gun is terrific and the speed is good. But the thing is
the size of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, a VK36 has better
armor, and when you shoot that terrific gun on Sand River you
get spotted by someone playing on El Halluf.
Oh, and I have a whopping 42% win rate in it after 81 games.

I could YOLO every damn game and get more wins. And yet my stats
in it aren’t horrible. Not out of the world, but not terrible.
It's just that, no matter how well I do -- 5 kills and 4K in
damage, or 1 kill and 1K -- the team loses an absurd amount of
the time.
This got me looking at other tanks and I’ve noticed a trend with
my German TDs. Namely: Great stats, crappy winning percentages.
StuG III
k/d: 1.72
damage: 2.08
# of vehicles destroyed per battle: 1.15
Win rate: 44%
Jagdpanzer IV
k/d: 1.81
damage: 1.52
# destroyed/game: 1.17
Win rate: 46%
Nashorn
k/d: 2.23
damage: 2.39
# of vehicles destroyed per battle: 1.37
Win rate: 44%
Anyone else have a collection of tanks like these – ones you
personally do well in, yet seem to be placed on Team Ultra Fail
time and time again?
I so very much want to like the JPII but it's becoming too damn
frustrating at this point. Hell, I'd rather do mediocre and win
than great and lose, but I'm odd like that ...

My closest one would be the SU-100. 63 battles, 2.3 K/D and 2.3
D/R ----41% win rate.

My Pz. 38h and Matilda are like that, but I haven't gotten a
Mastery Badge in the Matilda, yet. More often than not, I get
stuck with other noobs that have no tactical sense whatsoever.

I was NOT a happy tanker last night. Partially due to the fact I
was sucking more than usual, partly due to some very frustrating
matches.

You guys -- you, X BattleAxe X, ta2dflip and mrzip -- were
wonderful! Did well and were very pleasant.
Me? Yeah ... not so much.

Wonder why this happens to folks? What is it about that tank
that leads to that? Bad map rotation? Bad teams? Doesn't fit a
person's style? All of the above? None of the above?
Just so damn odd ...

Mine were the E4, E5 and T28 - Prot....just could never buy a
win when I ran those (but mostly pre OFF) and after working for
so long to get them it was extremely frustrating.
The good news on the T28 was it lead to the T95 and E3 - those
are the antithesis of frustrating!! :charge:

Those have a lot in common: not much armor for their tier
(except the T-18). I can totally get why those don't work for
you, as you are pretty aggressive (which is not necessarily a
bad thing!) and most of those won't take much punishment.
You need to be like me and just camp in the spawn most games...

If anything I have some that might be considered "blessed".
Marginal to poor stats with high win%. :confused:
