I've discovered the joys of "Derp"

So I've been grinding the VK 30.02D with the eventual goal to
get the Leo 1. I have been sooo bored driving this VK. Nothing
really excites me about this tank, to the point that I can't
play more than 2 or 3 games in it at a time. I was looking at
the packages last night, and I saw that instead of equipping the
8.8 cm cannon, you can equip the 10.5 cm gun.
I never really experimented with one of these guns since my
early days of playing the game, when I didn't know what I was
really doing. I play the M5 Stuart with the howitzer, but its
not the same type of gun. I equipped the package and looked at
the shell types available and equipped it mostly with HE. What
is the point of the AP shells?
I took it for a spin. Map was Port encounter... ugh. I've
never had a good game on this map. until now! I had a blast,
literally. Every shot causes some damage, and occasionally you
will get an actual full penetration for huge damage. I didn't
top the leader board or anything, but I laughed and had fun.
Why have I not done this before!? :bigsmile:
What other tanks have this type of gun available as an
alternative?

The British Cruiser (A-10) is an awesome derp machine. Can one
shot just about everything in tier 3 and 4 and damages tier 5
also.
Both the Easy 8 and the Jumbo have derp available in the 105mm
as well.

That I've played/know about:
Americans: M4 Sherman, Jumbo, Easy 8 (Jumbo has troll turret
armor)
German: Pz IV (should try this again)
Russian: KV-1, KV-1S, KV-2 ... pretty much all of their heavies
do in some way, as do their TDs.
French: SaU 40 (tier IV TD -- haven't played it, though); not
sure of others
Brit: Covenenananatohhowe verit'sspelled, Crusader, AT-2 (which
can be so much fun when top tier), Churchill
For my money, the KV-1 is just the bestest derp ever, as you can
dominate when top tier and still contribute when bottom.
But I'm buying the KV-2 today or tomorrow, so that might very
well change.

Oh, and Warsteiner1 is really the Derp Master of the clan. Run a
few games with him and he'll teach you The Path of Derping
Damage. Helped me about 1,000,000%.

One I haven't seen mentioned is the Wolverine....I cant get past
taking the fast firing, high pen gun off, but running around
quickly one shoting people definitely has a high smile factor

Hetlzer 10.5cm and T40 105mm both are derptasic at tierIV Still

*WARNING* The KV-2 can be a frustrating grind, but is so worth
it. I fully upgraded it and now it's one of my favorite tanks to
play.

I've tried forgetting the Hetzer's derp 'cause I hated it so
much the first time around.
Maybe I should give it another shot ...

Holy crap - thanks Swag, I can't believe I forgot about
these...also known as "game wreckers" for the opfor - def grab
the Hetzer (or any of the aforementioned vehicles) again TKE and
load it with HE only. Then you can have the "derp cackle" as
well when all of a red's health disappears in one shot!!
