There is one that is local that I always found interesting.
In the SCA there was a gentleman that wanted to register a name,
Logoss. He was told that it wasn't a name that had been used in
history, so he couldn't use it. So instead he registered Lucas
Otto Gustav Oswald Setephen vom Schenecke (L.O.G.O.S.S.)

Used to work with a guy we unaffectionally called FUB, Fat

This one is geographically specific, due to me living in
Wisconsin...

Not an Acronym, but still funny - Instead of a Renault Encore
and Renault Alliance, we called them a Renault Eyesore (my BIL
had one in the 80s) and a Renault Appliance. Also, the Yugo, aka
Nogo.
For military, we just used MFIC for the highest ranking in the
room or area.
SSDD - Same Shit, Different Day
SoS - Shit ona Shingle (chipped beef on toast)
SOS - Same Old Shit
I'd post up some more, but didn't take my CRS pill today (forgot
