Ay bluebanditjim?Where was that?I was stationed outside franfurt
in HANAU at pioneer kasern.I know you couldnt hav been far
because elvis was all over our area LOL.Pics with the owners of
all the guest houses didnt matter where you went.Sachshausen
maybe or Veittersburg?I served from 80-84 best times where in a
little border ville called BAD VEIBLE.Oh the disco-tech that
place had LOL.Especially the 20 or 30 bikers that always arrived
in the moped gang they were cool as hell.Had a blast.My youngest
son is down by Munich now and it has changed so much since it
was re-united.Always wanted to go back and visit.WOW that was
along time ago but good memories.Turned 18 and 19
there.Frankfurt had a red-light district there that was 4blocks
wide by i think 8 blocks long 7 or 8 story buildings.That was
alot of women.It was legal and had some of the most beautiful
women you ever saw.Really though they made the loot.When i was
there you didnt need to go to the brothel.The women to male
ratio was 6 to 1.They lost two world wars and it showed in that
respect.Lot of my friends married german women but i did not.Met
my wife on a 3 day USO tour of france.She is from STRAUSSENBORG
FRANCE.After i met her i drove 100 miles every week-end we had
off to court her.The dollar was strong back then it was 4.2 mark
to the dollar i made 1500 a month no bills so we were all rich
LOL they loved us at least are money and smokes.Had 6000 marks a
month you could get 3 beers for a mark.That was a lot of BEER
you really could drink all night on 5 bucks that was 60 beers
hell of a deal.Guess the euro squashed all that.I know i got way
off the post here but your thread brought back some great
times.THANX

Mine is a mash up of a couple things. Da: grew up in Illinois as
a fan of Da Cubs and Da Bears, Swag short form my last name
Swaggerty, I was a Army Mess Sgt aka Mess Daddy in the 101st
Airborne my last tour of duty. add it all up DaSwagDaddy101.
Which seems to mess with stoners it seems because they can't
figure out what to call me in battles.
Just call me Swag, been called that since 1980 or so

Hmmm interesting stuff!! Sadly theres no wonderful story to my
tag!! There was a fictitious euro DJ called funk pilot briefly
mentioned on an xbox live vid years ago. I liked it but changed
it to 'Phunk' as its more 'street' lol. Most people call me
Bert or Phunk neither of which are my real name but I'm happy
with whatever people go with. There was a gamer that I used to
run with that always called me 'Punk' I think he did it to try
an irritate me!! It did but I never once said so!! Just to add
to the confusion my mum has called me Bob since I was born.
Thats not my real name either!!! She named me, then called me
something else my whole life!! Go figure!!!

I work for the Post Office so I took my name from Mr. Zip, the
little guy shown in my avatar to your left. The 98 comes from
1998, the year I started at the Post Office.

My group of gaming friends would get together for poker (texas
hold em) regularly. I quickly earned a reputation of winning the
hand on the last card, usually known as "the river" but also
called "5th Street". (I am kinda a lucky person, I guess) That
got shortened to Fif Street... think Chappelle Show Law and
Order sketch where he just keeps pleading the Fifth. Currently
most of my friends just call me Fif. The 315 is my area code.

great thread idea!
the adb is pretty easy for me since that's my initials. Pretty
much every email correspondence from me is now signed with my
trade marked all small letters "adb" at the end. I think I first
picked that up when I learned that back in the day old school
letters typed up from someone else the typist would put their
initials, in small letters, at the very bottom of the letter. So
I figured since I was writing my own letters or emails, I should
put my initials up top, so the adb ended up becoming my
signature.
The sir part is a bit trickier since I have no memory of when I
first started using it. Its probably a combination of overall
politeness (yes, I am Canadian!!) and something I picked up in
university calling everyone sir or ma'am to be polite. Add in a
bit of old school chivalry and I've been tacking on the sir to
the adb for well over 20 years now.

If you change your tag to SGT Oddball I might have to break down
and change my tag too. Getting a lot of Sgt's around here.
