Gamer Tag
DIR By: habfan70

I thought that I would start a post where members could explain
what their Gamer Tag means...if anything, because I know I've
been asked on more than one occasion what my GT meant, and then
seeing in the Shout box someone questioning SPF9200 about his, I
thought this would be something to ask!
So, habfan70 is in reference to my lifelong professional NHL
hockey team that I have cheered for since I knew what hockey
was. The Montreal Canadiens are also known as the "Habs" or
"les habitants" which is defined as "an early French settler in
Canada (especially Quebec) or Louisiana" hence I am a hab fan
and I was born in 1970 so I use habfan70.
Please share the meaning behind your GT as I bet some of them
will be very interesting!

SgtEhrenfried
I do living history through the Society for Creative Anachronism
(SCA). My persona is Herr Ehrenfried Schertenleib, a 16th
Century German Pikeman (Landsknecht). Over the years I have
received an award for leadership on the melee field which gives
me the rank of Serjeant of the Red Company.

TKE = my fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. (Think Animal House, but
with more drugs and booze and a lower combined GPA...and you're
still only about halfway there)
919 = My scroll number in said fraternity (I was the 919th
member inducted into that chapter)
It was also my email addy when I first signed up for Xbox Live
and I thought I had to use it. If I had known otherwise, I'd
have changed.
Hell, I'm still considering doing so ... just not sure it's
worth the $10.

OldRUGGER51 broken down...
Old - Since I am 51 and can begin enjoying the benefits of AARP
and have the distinct smell of pine in my nostrils
Rugger - played A and B level rugby for 14 years, and still
catch an old boy game occasionally - nothing like stomping on
someone to remove the anxieties of the week!
51 - I have had the numbers 5 (soccer), 1 (rugby) or 51
(football) during all of my younger sports playing
years...nothing to do with my age.

The ta2d is pronounced tattooed because for the last 18 or so
years I was a tattoo artist and am pretty heavily tattooed. Flip
is my nickname from junior high because my football coach could
never pronounce my last name Filipponi so he called me flip and
is also the name I tattooed under. I was going to use ta2istflip
but I liked this one more. Now since playing this game and
remembering some German I am thinking about changing my gamer
tag to O.F.F. Teufel Hund pronounced tifel hooned it means devil
hound, I just dig it and hardly anyone will be able to pronounce
it, like my current tag, I get called t a all the time, it's
kind of funny to me. I just tell people, call me flip, it's
easier.

Mine has been around since the original Xbox. At first my tag
was Becksbeer...but it just didnt look as cool and being called
beck for short just didnt work with me. So , being that i have a
massive love for german beers , thought id change it to my 2nd
all time favorite beer... and War sounds a lot cooler when my
name is shortened ,lol.

My mates ( yes i do have some ) have called me BBC for as long
as i can remember. First B is for Big, 6 foot 4. Second is for
Bald, My hair has been retreating faster than a french tank. C
stands for C..t, cause when you piss me off everyone around me
ducks for cover.
the bold part is just playing with words, reminding me not to
sit on the sidelines.
