Reinvented WOT for myself

For the past few months it has been annoying me how much better
WOT looks on my bedroom 1080 27" than my living room 720 50"
television. Bedroom xbox is played about 2% of the time. Been
eyeballing a new TV for a few months but kept holding off.
Broke down yesterday and picked up this bad boy.

It's like an entirely new game for me. The clarity and
sharpness is unreal!

Nice set Sparky. Been hanging my nose over a new TV for a while
now. Our living room 37" 1080 Toshiba is going up on to our
son's bedroom (nice upgrade for him!)
What's the upscaling like on the Sony? Is there a game mode and
do you see any motion blur?
I've seen some 50" 4K TV's that look the mutts-nuts, but not
took the jump yet. Something's telling me to hold off a while
longer. Might get a better deal in the sales after xmas.

Playing 5' from our 49" LED is WONDERFUL. Just so fantastic.
Now if we could just roadtrip to Dallas and convince Jerry Jones
to let us play on that massive video board the Cowboys have ...

I generally play 10' from my 60" plasma and it's good. This
weekend, I played on my 32" Vizio 720p bedroom tv (5 teenage
girls and my wife took over my big tv) and it was pretty darned
good as well.
Of course a lot of OFFers remember these and won't complain too
much...lol

Combat FTW!!!
Actually have my old Atari and that game (among others -- and
with boxes). Just need the adapter to plug into the TV so I can
show my kid just how damn good he has it.

No, no, no, TKE...you got all wrong...it's how damn good WE had
it.
Remember, it was a brave new world back then, full of wonder and
possibilities. Now, despite how glossy the games are, kids are
done with em inside a week wanting the next AAA title. I pity
them, really. We had it much better.

Ya know...that's a great point, Greyza.
Plus, 99% of games had no true "end"--at least not that 99% of
folks could reach. They just harder until you ran out of lives.

Nice set!
My first upgrade was from the old 32" LCD Samsung to the 32" LCD
Insignia. It looked better. Then, I bought a RocketFish HDMI
cable, and added a new ethernet cable, and the clarity was 100%
better. I could actually see the outline of tanks when I zoomed
lol
Hmmm...wonder if the wife would notice if I swapped for the 40"
LED that I got her for her birthday...she told me this
:watching: the other day when I brought it up in a joking way.
