       When I lived in Germany we visited a lot of battlefield memorial
       sites - Verdun, Maginot Line, Normandy, etc - and they were
       haunting trips to stand on the ground where so many gave their
       all to allow us to remain free.
       I like your pic of the Wall as well...my father was in Vietnam
       and, thank God, survived. He is across the river now in
       Arlington cemetery.
