French Tanks stink

I have been running French d2 all day-shot a tier 2 tank 6 times
in rear no damage he turns around hits me once I go up like a
roman candle-they are slow and very little fire power in lower
tiers-this is just my thoughts :charge:

Yep -- the lower tiers focus on armor over firepower or speed.
At around tiers V-VII that all changes, as they get powerful
guns, good speed, but pretty much no armor at all.

Yeah, the guns at the lower tiers are embarassingly bad. I free
XPed a lot.

I am enjoying the Tier 4 AMX40, the Duck. Trollish armor, good
gun, slow as hell. It has a pretty good view range as well.

Well not encouraged by these first posts. I had read the lower
tiers were pretty bad except for the Duck. There must be one or
two at the II and III level worth playing with? Anyone?

Decided to try the TD line first. Played about 6 games in the FT
AC and enjoyed it. I played it similar to the T18 and it worked.
UE 57 initially looks useless but will give it a few more games.
Tissue armour. A Medium III looked at me and I blew up
:hysterical:

I am enjoying the Tier III UE57 TD. That thing is tiny and
nearly invisible even when moving. The top gun has 75 damage
with 110 pen. You throw some APCR in it and it goes to a
crazy-like 180 pen with 21 rounds per minute. It is a little
slower than other TIer III TDs, but not too bad and has decent
view range. Totally paper armor though.

Played a few games in the light/medium line. Very weird. Super
slow, odd looking with pretty good armor. I found that taking a
good supply of premium shells helps the low pen on the guns.

I just unlocked the ELC AMX. Now this is a REAL light tank.
Paper armor, 65 kph, a little less view range than the leopard.
But wait for it..... Top gun -240 damage with 170 pen (250 with
APCR) and a 0.38 accuracy..... <object width="450" height="18
