The Long Term Health of WoT -- Not a rant, some data...

There was a post on the WoT site looking at gauging the DLC #s
and # of achievement hunters to gauge the long term health of
the game:

It was a decent try but flawed analysis trying to explain a
perceived decline in players. WGWPain chimed in with some
surprising data that I thought I would share:
"Thanks for your exploratory and positive post. We don't
actually use the XBL DLC method, nor do we release achievements
with each version so those numbers aren't really accurate in any
way. School starting and Destiny impacted us for a couple of
weeks like all other games. Our weekly active unique users are
even up, even though the peak concurrent user hasn't seen the
highs of summer and won't likely till the holiday break. This is
indicative off all online games at this time of the year.
FWIW we had just under 26.3k brand new registrations last week
alone. We watch the analytics very closely each week and I can
assure you they indicate this game has very long life ahead of
it."
Those seem to be some pretty good numbers......

I saw that thread, but there was WAY TOO MANY MATHS!!!
Seriously. My eyes glazed over about 1/3rd of the way through
it.
That being typed: If those numbers from WG are correct, then I
really need to consider buying half a year of premium time
because WoT 360 will be going strong for quite some time.

I'm glad WG responded. There have been WAY too many threads on
the main forums claiming that the game is dead/dying/in decline
with no proof or numbers to back up their claims.

Thanks for the link Steam...
All I can say is: The OP has little to no understanding of data
sets....
I know the OP is using Achievements as a subset of the player
population, for some unknown reason :fullofshit:
Something as simple as looking at the player population on the
live servers would just crush the premise of the post...
Sorry, I get a bit annoyed at how the ignorance is just
unlimited on the WOT forums...
WOT forums and accepted analysis, are like the teeth of a 90+
year olds.... Few and far between!
:fuckyou:
