       Read This First: But It's Too Lonely!

       I've tried to set up several webforums with the same result.
       The first five posters look around, see nobody else there, and
       then leave.
       A new forum is like getting a house that is empty.  It has no
       furniture, so you're not wanting to buy it.  It's worse so if
       the forum is not connected to another site. But if those five
       (currently, actually, it's just me) stuck around, maybe they
       could get more people involved. And not random trolls.
       So maybe post a bit and try to ask around for other members.
