I think you can get a good following :) oh yeah some are even
so popular they get paid to go to cons for public appearances
and stuff to sign photos and meet fans

it's REALLY hard though! you need to constantly be producing
content and going to photo shoots and sewing outfits, and...
having people tell you how pretty you are <3
...
OKAY I'M SOLD!
...
but honaestly, it does take a a lot of work AND a lot of luck.
(having giveaways helps too)

it's generally more of a side job. I mean, making enough to
break even as a cosplayer is hard enough as it is, to actually
make a living is crazy amazing

Not too late :P Just start building a fan base! Its like people
who become pro youtubers. They have regular jobs till they can
get paid for doing what they want :D
