singing in the rain, just singing in the rain [open to all]

[sup]Looking up at the darkening sky, Vividpaw slipped out of
the medicine den. Puffy, grey clouds were covering the sun,
casting shadows across the Riverclan camp. The medicine cat
apprentice let out a squeak when the first rain drop hit her on
the nose and she licked it off. Soon the rain was pouring down,
quickly soaking the silver and white tabby. Instead of running
back into the den to groom her sodden fur, the she-cat began
bouncing around the camp, enjoying the downpour.

Hourpaw had noticed the downpour,
and he completly hated the sound it made hitting the apprentices
den. Everytime another rain drop hit the top, he closed his
eyes. Then he noticed something or someone outside, and as he
looked a little closer he realised that it was a cat. It was the
medicene cat apprentice for that matter, and he was astonsished
that she was bouncing around in the rain. The rain gave him too
many bad memories, it was raining the day his parents abandon
him. Now Hourpaw was too afraid to make friends, because he
thought they would abandon his too. The stuck his head out into
the rain, willing to try it. The first rain drop that hit his
head made him shrink back into the den. He sat back down in the
comfort of his nest and watched the cat outside.

[sup]Spotting Hourpaw shrink back into the apprentice den,
Vividpaw bounded over, eyes bright. "You okay, Hour?" the
silvery tabby asked, concerned.

"Fine." He meowed in a monotone, not that
he ever spoke without one. He never used any expression or
showed any emotion. It was like he was just there, almost like
he hated everything. He didn't want to make friends, too afraid
they would leave, and he didn't want to do any training. He
yawned ad put his head on his paws staring blankly at the rain
outside.

[sup]Vividpaw tipped her head, rain spattering her silver pelt.
"That's good," she murmured, a little dejected. Why was Hourpaw
so negative?[/sup]

Was she ever going to leave him
alone? He thought to himself. He actually kind of envied her
cheerfullness, and sometimes he thought of forgetting about his
past. But then he always had the thought of what if it happened
again, what if he made friends and they all left him. He looked
up at the cat, realising that he probably sounded negative. "And
how are you?"He asked her.

[sup]Vividpaw instantly brightened again. "Fine thank you," she
mewed. "How're you?" It was funny, how the medicine cat
apprentice was cheerful so often, and how easily her mood could
be lifted. The silver tabby lashed her tail, eyes sparkling. She
hardly noticed that the rain was getting much heavier.[/sup]

"Fine." He meowed to the medicene
cat apprentice. He tried to take notice that she had just asked
him if something was wrong. He even tried not to use a monotone
and like he was actually trying to be nice. Then he heard the
voice in the back of his head don't make friends. He just didn't
want all his friends to ditch him like his family, and his
chidhood friends. It seemed like everyone would leave him, and
he was too afraid to try and make friends.

She tilted her head, eyes filled with concern. "You alright?"
Vividpaw asked worriedly.
