A Day in the Life of a ShadowClanner [Open Camp Thread!]

Ooc; This is a camp thread so anybody can
jump right in and roleplay! :)
Ic: Lowpaw, the medicine cat apprentice of the clan, was sitting
in front of her den, her long tail flicking lazily from side to
side. Since it was morning and every herb she needed she had,
there was nothing decent to do for her. Sighing, she craned her
neck down and began to groom her thin ebony colored fur with
slow and thoughtful strokes of her berry pink tongue. She had no
clue where her mentor was and there was nobody to talk to! Most
of the time, the small she-cat was as eager and bouncy as a hare
so, as you could imagine, sitting still was difficult for
her.

[sup]Padding lazily out of her den, Coyotestar spotted the
medicine cat apprentice and trotted over. "Hello," the dusky
brown feline murmured, flicking her tail. The leader noticed how
restless Lowpaw seemed and tilted her head, wondering where
Ebonyglass was. Why wasn't her brother here to occupy her? She
knew that Lowpaw didn't get along too well with Goldensun; the
medicine cat was much more serious than her apprentice.[/sup]

Lowpaw jumped up in surprise, her eyes wide
and tail lashing,"You scared the snot out of me!" She loudly
exclaimed as if it weren't obvious. She seemed to be getting
slightly plumper than usual, but she just acted as if she didn't
notice and nobody else seemed to be noticing. Yes, kits were
growing in her belly and that in itself was a terrible rule to
break, being the medicine cat apprentice. Not to mention that
the father to her kits was her love, Burningrage, one of the two
leaders of BloodClan who she met with as often as she possible
could. Lowpaw wasn't exactly perfect when it came to following
rules, that's for sure...

[sup]Coyotestar's whiskers twitching with amusement when Lowpaw
jumped and shouted an exclamation. "Well, I'm sorry," she mewed,
not really sorry at all, although she was just being friendly.
The leader couldn't help but notice the apprentice was looking a
bit . . . plump. Maybe she'd been overeating. That's not
something Lowpaw would do, she told herself. She might just be
preparing for the long leaf-bare, you know, fattening up.[/sup]

Lowpaw shook her head and back down,
her ears flicking in amusement,"Nah, it's fine. I'm just feeling
jumpy." She mewed apologetically, shaking her head,"Anyways, how
have you been doing, Coyotestar?"

[sup]"Fine," the leader meowed, tipping her head. "Where's
Goldensun?" she asked.

"Don't know, and don't care." Lowpaw
declared, her tail flicking as she thought of her nosy mentor in
annoyance. It was difficult to keep her little secret if her
mentor was on her tail 24/7 about every little thing.

[sup]Coyotestar cocked her head. "Why do you seem to dislike
your mentor so much? And what was the point of becoming a
medicine cat apprentice if you don't like her?" she asked.[/sup]

Lowpaw's eyes widened as if it were
the most obvious thing in the entire world. "Because I love to
heal!" She exclaimed, her tail flicking from side to side,"I
mean, there are ups and downs to being the medicine cat, but
there are far more ups than downs! And I don't dislike
Goldensun. She's just... nosy."

"Who is nosy? Me? How could I be
nosy?!" A cat squeaked nearby, though it's location was not
clear. However, small brown ears poked up from a small bush
nearby. It was porcupinekit, eavesdropping as usual. The brown
spiky kit was almost always listening to conversations, even
when it was a leader-to-deputy conversation. The kit new a lot
about this clan already, as he had once been a loner. He was
only 2 moons old, and had already stuck outside of camp 4 times.
All the clan could hope for is that he matures when he becomes
an apprentice, or this porcupine would get out of control.
