leader's pelt pricked as she neared the BloodClan border. During
the Gathering, one of the BloodClan leaders had caught her eye.
Serpentineheart . . . she thought. Maybe she'd meet up with
him today, then she could have a talk with him and hopefully
propose an alliance.[/sup]

A muscular, jet black figure emerged from the shadows of
BloodClan territory, amber eyes standing out like lights.
"What's a petty ShadowClanner doing here?" Serpentineheart
sneered, claws unsheathed.

alarmed. Her deer-in-the-headlights look quickly vanished
though; she didn't want to show any weakness. "What, afraid of a
Shadowclan cat?" she taunted. "And a she-cat at that?"
Hopefully, the tom would show her a bit more respect if she was
able to outsmart him.[/sup]

He snorted. "Of course not," he rumbled. Stepping forward, the
black tom loomed over the ShadowClan leader. "You seem quite
scared yourself." Serpentineheart commented, baring his fangs.
"Nobody likes an insecure leader."

The black tom bared his fangs, snarling. "Shut the f*** up, will
you? I'd rather not have a flea covered Shadowclanner right in
my face," Serpentineheart hissed, digging his claws into the
ground. What was she up to? And where was Burningrage or one of
the other high positions?

mewed snidely, licking a paw. "You know, I came here because I
like the way you were acting at the Gathering," Coyotestar
murmured, drawing her paw over her ear.
