Sakura Koji

Equipment: Armor, sakura pin, tanto, throwing knives
Fumi blinked at his comment about having a woman in his life and
it being his master. What kind of backwards mess was that?
Koji smirked at that news that Lotus Sun was the only woman in
his life. That was funny enough since Sun was a very nurturing
woman to Sojoh and it was clear the two had a bond. He almost
envied that bond, even if with Cho-Hui he knew she cared for
him. She wouldn’t have invested her time and energy in him if
she didn’t...Though he did wish she showed it more deep down.
The woman that Sojoh eventually found would have to be someone
special. Hopefully not Fumi.
“Then perhaps she won’t mind a friend? we could grab a drink as
friends in Masunai?” Fumi offered which made Koji raise a
suspicious brow. He would be sure to be close at hand if that
ever happened...
When things settled down, Koji actually made an effort with the
boy. He showed him the tanto, explaining a little of how it
worked. It was made for piercing heavy armor and bringing down
big targets. Hence why Koji enjoyed it. He let the young prince
hold the weapon, though he got a bit worried when he was messing
with the blade. He pulled it away and let the boy go to bed. As
the erhu played in the softness of the night, Koji’s eyes began
to drift close as he struggled to keep awake. It was clear he
was exhausted by the way he began leaning forward and almost
fell over. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and gave Sojoh a
softer look. “Smooth move with the servant girl. I didn’t think
her jaw could drop that far.” He said with a smirk before he
yawned. “Tomorrow when we get to Masunai...we should...get
a...drink and enjoy the festival.” He said around yawns as his
eyes drifted shut.

reed, Ehru.
When Fumi got the point he was relieved, but only gave a non
committal response to the drinks- much less a friend comment.
His master would have dismissed Fumi in a brink of a eye, he had
seen the woman shove people off bridges before into water ways
over merely looking in his direction, he wasn't dumb enough to
even make friends that could be used as a weapon against him. As
Koji seemed to settle in to sleep, actually requesting they get
a drink , he smiled lightly. "Master Sun thinks of me as a
child, dont get it twisted." He stated smoothly since he knew
Koji's own master treated him the same. At the request to enjoy
the festival he nodded," I'll plan to spend it with you then.
Get some sleep Koji, I'll keep watch." He states softly as the
ehru drew a softer sound as he played a lower tones song to help
lul the man to sleep.
As the night progressed, he did a few rounds about the camp,
eventually deciding to practice his martial arts as the sun rose
to keep himself awake. He was half dressed as he did this, his
chest glistening in sweat as he was trying to be firm in his
practice.

Sakura Koji

Koji fell asleep the to the sounds of the Ehru floating through
the air, especially now that he was calm that he wouldn’t be
alone with that Fumi chick. He curled up by the fire, passing
out hard as he usually did with most times. Sprawled our and a
bit of a mess. He awoke only with the need to pee and rose up in
a groggy state. After dealing with his business, as he stumbled
his way over back to camp, he caught sight of Sojoh practicing
his fighting stances. To be honest, in his half awake state, he
found himself admiring the man for all that he was and what he
could see. How was it that he could remain so focused and driven
to practice early in the morning? Not to mention...had Sojoh
really grown all that much? Had he really packed on all that
muscle? Maybe it was just...he never really took the time to
really consider him the way he did in the early morning light.
He moved over to the man after a bit of watching—well admiring.
It made his heart beat quicken and his heart feel like it
dropped to his stomach. But he couldn’t really allow that to
stop him from seeing what was up. “Your elbow isn’t high
enough.” Koji said as he walked by him, a coy smirk on his lips
as he moved around him. “And you could have kicked higher...I’ve
seen you do it before.” He wasn’t trying to push his buttons or
really insult him. He was just in a good mood now that he had
sleep, and perhaps a part of him wanted to flirt with the man.
Even if he knew nothing would come of it and it was just
harmless playfulness...

He was focused. [I]breath in, pause center- exhale.[/i] he hadnt
heard Koji come over, but he seemed to correct his postures, his
eyes darted his his face to catch his expression being coy and
teasing. He smirked at him,"Says the man who can snore loud
enough to scare away bears." He stated smoothly moving into
another stance. "As for how high I can get my legs, I never
noticed you paying that close attention before." He teased the
man back since he figured Kojinwas in the mood for banter this
morning, and he was always willing to oblige the man. "Master
Sun, always said the best time to hone ones strength is in the
morning before the world wakea so you can be more prepared for
the day, in the silence of the dawn." He stated eloquently to
Koji as she finished his stances and did the final exhale,
relaxing. His body was covered in sweat but he didn't mind."I'm
going to the river for a few moments to wash off, please take a
few minutes to watch the camp?" He asked as she picked up his
clothes and started walking to the river a few places away. He
had not shame on his body or his scars. He stripped down easily
in full view of the camp and got into the water. It was chilly
but he didn't mind, it helped keep his mind off the man flirting
with him.

When Sojoh calles him out for a little banter, Koji gave a small
shrug. No sense in not trying. He pushed some hair from his face
when he said he was going to bathe and that made Koji simply
nod. “Alright.” He moved room keep an eye on the camp and even
found that little miss servant girl Fumi had been watching too.
They both spared each other a glare before going about their
business. She gave a little gasp, her face turning bright red
and her eyes glinting with a longing at something she saw behind
Koji. Koji turned and caught sight of Sojoh bathing and looking
much like one of the perfectly sculpted ‘performers’ at a bath
house. It made Koji’s stomach drop, his heart flutter, and heat
immediately floor areas it shouldn’t. He quickly turned and went
about his watch as he knew better than that. This was a friend.
A friend! What was wrong with him?
“You know he won’t find you attractive. You’re such a plain man
and Cursed.” He heard Fumi state with a hint of venom to her
tone. Koji blinked then realized what was going on. The blood
rushing had given up his attraction and the blueness of his
nails gave away his status. He quickly shot the woman a dirty
look before stalking off to go calm down by meditating while he
kept watch on anything but Sojoh.
Finally they got on the road a while later and began to see the
first sign of villages and large forests. They reached the town
of Taemori, their destination, which was marked by a statue of
Moriko guarding the gates. The beautiful Celestial sat cupping a
budding tree in her hands, her visage carved from wood that
looked centuries old but still hadn’t lost its detail. But that
was the skill of Masunai craftsmanship. They got to the nearby
town road where they were greeted by a portly man that was
dressed in finery, a thin and delicate looking woman, and their
child And a crowd of servants. “Greetings, your highness and
welcome to Taemori.” The man bellowed with a deep bow that his
family mimicked the gesture. “I, Otori Masunai, welcome you to
our village. The pride of Masunai and home to the lovely
festival you are gracing, your highness.” Koji wanted to roll
his eyes at all the pageantry but knew it had to be done. The
rich and wealthy of Seojinai still controlled everything,
especially the original 4 families which controlled each
province under the empress. So they had to suck up to the royal
family, even though Koji was sure they were biding their time
Until one of their own ascended the throne.
They soon were shown to a park where other noble families
gathered for the festivities. There kites were flown, performers
entertained the children, and it seemed like large picnics were
going on. It was a festival about family and children after all,
of which Koji had neither. To him this was just another excuse
for people to run around and spend money.

Sojoh had seen the brief exchange between Fumi and Koji. He made
a small pinched face at that but decided Koji was okay since he
didn't respond to the women. He got dried off and dressed and
soon they were on the road, intending to make their destination
that day. It was fairly quick, thankfully The servent was
getting on his nerves with her looks and questions. He kept a
watchful eye on the crowd as they were greeted, and avoided
being acknowledged. As they eventually got to the park, he
glanced over at Koji and how almost out of place he seemed. He
moved up closer to Koji with a sly smile,"After this we should
get a drink, you look out of place here, well we both do." He
stated trying to find a similar ground to Level worh Koji at the
moment.

Sakura Koji

Koji had been watching the area around him awkwardly, looking
for any sign of trouble as the young prince was basically taken
in by the Masunai head family to enjoy the festivities with
them. That left them to simply wait until they were to guide him
to the home to stay with them. Then perhaps they would be
allowed a reprieve to enjoy themselves. After all, a festival
was a festival and that meant fun at night for the adults at
least. But for now, he was stuck watching and being confused by
the oddness of it all. Most Warriors knew the guild as their
family, but they were never this affectionate or had fun
together quite this much. Lacking parents or a home bound them
to order through loyalty and safety. But that didn’t stop Koji
from wondering what it must be like. To have a person that cared
for you more in the world than you realized, someone you cared
for because they raised you, and a bond to someone that wasn’t
at the price of your life and soul. It brought him back to the
first time he called Cho-Hui ‘mother’ as a child and he had been
scolded heavily for it, even as a five year old not knowing any
better. She was his ‘Master’ and ‘Mentor’, not his family or
mother...And Koji was quick to realize that line and never cross
it. After all, the Warriors were not allowed to have families or
children of their own. He understood why. Their jobs left them
in peril constantly. Why put a family through your death or put
them in harms way if someone discovered your identity and
theirs. You effectiveness as a killer changed when you couldn’t
follow orders because you were no longer solely loyal to the
order.
Besides, Koji didn’t need that life. He wasn’t interested in
women and was terrible wi th children. But he did long at times
for a stable relationship or something that wasn’t a fleeting
one night stand. But he couldn’t have that...and cursed himself
for wishing for that when he saw a couple, two women, with a
child perched in one of their laps. He shook his head and turned
his attention to the sky briefly, where a dragon kite sailed
overhead. He jumped a little when Koji spoke, his eyes flicking
to the man. He was offering drinks after this and that was a
relief for Koji. Even if he did balk when he said he looked out
of place. “Well we both know I’m not one for crowds of children.
Out of place is an understatement when it comes to the way we
were raised, right?” He then looked to Sojoh with a softer smile
since he could see the man was trying to cheer him up. “That
drink sounds great actually. As long as your buying the first
round.” He teased even if those odd thoughts of Sojoh earlier
did awkwardly bubble back up...Koji kept it hidden behind the
mask even if his stomach and mind Churned.

Sojoh relaxed since he was good in a crowd unlike Koji it
seemed. Hw was glad the man accepted his offer, since he wouldnt
like to havw been drinking alone, women always got the wrong
idea with him. If he wished company he wouod go talk, but they
would assume he wished to sleep with them, when he in fact did
not. He nodded at the assessment made by his partner. "Indeed,
Sun often told me If I called her anything other then master,
she would cut off what I enjoyed most." He chuckled since it had
been an actual threat from the woman. At the comment of him
buying the first round he nodded,"Very well, can't have you
frowning all night, will make your pretty face wrinkle." He
teased the ninja before smirking at his own joke.
He was going to poke more fun at Koji but it seemed the young
prince was calling for Sojoh to show off to a few other boys
around his age who seemed interesting in the ninja at the
princes' beck and call it seemed. Sojoh went as requested, more
to spare Koji from having to go. He entertained the children
well enought with ninja tricks, and a weapon demonstration of
so. He however was stuck there when the prince asked him to stay
and Fumi- of course- was hovering and attempting to garner his
attention. He kept casting glanced at Koji, making sure for one
he was okay and close by, but also to show he would rather be in
his company.

Koji looked at Sojoh when he began to tease him, a hint of a
blush there at being called pretty. Even if he was teasing, Koji
wasn’t used to compliments or the like. He often was told he was
pretty by targets or one night stands, but he knew it was all
part of the game of seduction. None ever really meant it. Also,
he was quick to write off compliments and ignore them...So why
when Sojoh teased him did Koji feel something stir in his chest?
“Funny. It’s like your trying to make me frown more.” He teased
back, even if the redness was still there.
He turned his attention ahead of him as Sojoh was called off to
speak. Oddly he was the more confident one in this arena, even
if Koji prided himself on being the more social one. Therefore,
to kee himself slightly entertained, he allowed the few curious
onlookers to ask questions, including a young woman that seemed
to be of high class standing. She flirted openly with the
Warrior and Koji obliged, even if he was only doing so to remain
entertained. Also, Koji has a tendency to be a flirt with most
that crosses his path. Even if he held no interest in the girl
at all, it kept his skills sharp. Besides, with his mask and
hidden nails, the person couldn’t tell he was Turquemian just by
his startling teal colored irises. It felt nice to be treated as
normal, even if he knew the moment she found out he was Cursed,
she would pity him for having ‘evil ancestors’. Screw his
ancestors...Koji didn’t care for them at all as they left him
out in an ocean to drown. In his flirting and speaking with the
woman, he heard from her a decent bar in the area, one that high
priced courtesans frequented and performed. Koji thanked her for
the information, but politely declined her invitation to meet
there. After all, he intended to perhaps cut loose with Sojoh.

Sojoh kept an eye on Koji, seeing him flirt with the woman, it
made him slightly jealous, he wasn't going to lie, but knew Koji
would do as he liked. It was later when they had escorted the
little prince, even stopping to get him some throwing knifes
before dropping him off. He went with Koji to the safehouse,
knowing they needed to change and check in.
As they went into the back entrance they went to a celler off
the main part, dropping off their gear with his own Master,
expecting to see her after all. She gave Sojoh a soft look. "I
heard you had a lot of fun with the prince." She stated simply
getting a shake of his head from her student. "His disgusting
servant kept hitting on me, I told her you were the only woman
for me after all." He stated with a smooth grin getting a
chuckle from lotus Sun. [B]"In your dreams. But good job. You
both earned a night off. Now don't go doing anything I wouldn't
do." [/b] his master teased since sleeping with men would have
been something she would do. Women? Probably not. He chuckled
and gave a nod, "yes, koji qns I are going for drinks." He
stated with a shy smile, no hints of coyness. His master gave
him a soft look,"Remember. Hes family- you can have a night
fling but I would suggest a courtesan." She advised getting a
delayed nod from sojoh. He wouldn't have been able to convince
Koji to sleep with him drunk or sober- he already knew that.
Heading out to change into clothes to relax in, he decided it
was best to hide his pin, so he wasn't a mark by anyone. Usual
he had it on him but it was kn his collar, tonight he just
wanted to drink with a man in peace.
