Sakura Koji
Location: Traveling road, Nonju Province, Seojinai
Accompanying: Sakura Sojoh, Fumi, Prince Yusai
Equipment: Armor, sakura pin, tanto, throwing knives, a bad
attitude
Koji smiles a bit when he said that he learned before coming to
the Sakura. Koji has heard a little of Sojoh’s story, but only
that he came from a whore house. The other kids in their class
had teased him for being considered an Unseen, the lowest class
in Seojinai. It was reserved for those disowned from their
families, criminals, and those viewed as disgraced. While Koji
had his fair share of issues with others being Turquemian, since
he was considered cursed by his ancestors wrong doings, he was
able to hide it a lot better than Sojoh could a label. It was
part of the reason Koji gravitated to Sojoh as a child and
offered to have dinner with him that first night he saw a few
kids making him cry. Koji hadn’t really known then that Sojoh
would later becomes his partner and friend, or that they would
also be each other’s competition...But he was always rather
happy that he chose to befriend him.
“Good choice.” He muttered before closing his eyes and letting
Sojoh play. He tensed however when Sojoh was interrupted by Fumi
bringing them drinks. He openly refused the woman with a
flippant look, not caring for her or anything she had to offer.
Besides, he saw the way she peered at Sojoh like he was a piece
of meat. It...irritated Koji more than he liked to admit.
However Sojoh actually drank quite a bit of it, making Koji
tease him a bit when he started to look a bit tipsy. Was he a
light weight? He got drunk awfully fast.
Sojoh stumbles over and sat by him, making Koji blink when he
got close. Koji tilted his head when he said that he expressed
himself better with music. Was that right? Was that why he
always played? “Really? Now just what words were failing you a
moment ago?” He teased him just to be an ass. But he paused when
Sojoh suddenly mentioned his remedies. “Remedies? Why do you
need those? I doubt they would help with you obviously being
tipsy.” He stated, even if his brows did furrow some with
concern. He placed a hand on Sojoh’s arm, trying to steady him
so he could get a look at his face. Was he drunk?

Sakura Sojoh

reed, Ehru, drugs(drugs are bad).
Thinking back on the first time they met, he was crying like a
little girl, but he had a bloody nose from where they were
beating him, letting him know he was still seen as filthy. Koji
stood up for him and tried to cheer him up, he knew the boy
probably pitied him them but it evolved into a beautiful
friendship, partnership and even a competition.
He came back to focus when Koji teased him on what words were
failing him a few moments ago, making him want to speak,
actually pushing him to in this case as his mind was foggy.
"That you are quite breath taking when you smile, e-specially in
my direction." He slurred a little, but gave him a grin since he
knew Koji wouldn't take him seriously- the man never did. When
he put a hand on him and looked him over he looked back into his
face,"Your adorable when your worried." He chided him with a
bit of a carefree laugh, clearly not moving away from Koji. "My
bag, things are missing but I dont mind as long as my Ehru still
works I can play you to sleep still." He mused in a listless
way, looking a bit more lethargic, but relaxed.

confusion and a hint of attraction
Koji had expected something sappy from the drunk man and often
when they got drunk together, both got a bit more playful and
said things they didn’t mean. Koji once had gotten so black out
drunk, he tried to hit on Sojoh, which only made the man get
stiff and bat off his advances saying that he was obviously too
drunk and didn’t know what he was saying. Koji had taken that as
a cue that Sojoh wasn’t interested in men, as most around them
weren’t. After all, you weren’t allowed to have a preference if
you were a warrior. You needed to be able seduce anyone if the
mission called for it...That didn’t change Koji’s mind on the
matter, but it added a layer to every interaction he had...
So when Sojoh took that moment to tell him about his smile, Koji
was caught off guard for a moment. A blush lit up his cheeks
like a wildfire, one that burned hot and bright. He was easily
flustered by compliments as Warrior’s didn’t hear them often, at
least not on things beyond their skills. And also that teasing
had sounded a lot like flirting which confused Koji further.
However he got a grip on himself and realized that Sojoh was
just kidding. There was no way that he actually found his smile
attractive. That was only confirmed when he called him adorable
for worrying, something that made his stomach flutter despite
his eyes narrowing. “You are obviously cut off tonight. Speaking
such nonsense.” He grumbled, especially when he commented about
playing him to sleep. Koji tried to shake off his blush, his
irritation rising because now he was concerned. This wasn’t
normal for Sojoh and he was beginning to wonder if it wasn’t
just the alcohol. He maneuvered over Sojoh, leaning across him
to grab the bottle of alcohol. When he got the bottle, he stayed
in Sojoh’s space and gave it a sniff. There was an odd sweetness
to the scent, one that instantly made his eyes flick to Sojoh
and then back to the bottle. Had he been drugged? He couldn’t
right go skin that servant alive for harming Sojoh if he didn’t
confirm it. Not wasting time, he set aside the bottle and
grabbed Sojoh’s face, making him look up at him. His pupils
seemed odd and he obviously was looking out of it. The slurring
also was a give away. “Have you been drugged?” He asked him
quietly, not able to tell in his worry that his face was quite
close to Sojoh’s.

When the man took the bottle he moved in a fumbled way to keep
the bottle from him, knowing it was drugged. When Koji leaned
into his space he figured he was delirious at this point but why
not go with the flow? He moved, with some effort and wrapped his
arms up and around Koji's neck, more to keep him for. Pulling
away and pressed his lips to his. It was a softer contact but he
was also mostly numb at the moment. He pulled away with a grin
like a child who just got the lucky straw. He gave a bit of a
carefree laugh but did his best to look at Koji better. "You
know-" he stated before he seemed to progress a bit kore into
lethargy, his arms falling back down and he seemed to be half
asleep. He knew it wasnt toxic but it did knock him his ass hard
enough.

and very attracted
Koji gave a “Hey!” of protest as Sojoh suddenly got fussy over
him grabbing the bottle. Was he trying to drink more? What a
fussy drunk...He went to pull away, to put space between them so
he could go have a chat with the servant, but suddenly Sojoh got
arms around him. Koji’s brows furrowed as he struggled, not
understanding what the man was doing. That was until his lips
met his, a soft contact but one with some mischievous intent.
either way, Koji’s eyes were blown wide and his face turned as
red as the flames before them. He didn’t kiss him back, only sat
there trying to process what was going on. Surely his partner
had not just kissed him out of nowhere. He must’ve been
hallucinating. Or, this was all a joke? Or he really was
drugged? Either way, when he pulled away with that cocky grin,
Koji’s eyes were still wide and his jaw was a bit slack. He was
blushing like a moron and unable to formulate words. Not to
mention in his shock he realized he liked having Sojoh close a
little too much. That line of thinking ended when Sojoh
collapsed, looking like he was close to passing out. “Sojoh!
So...” He scrambled to gently set his friend down, despite the
fact Koji was a flustered mess and it was clear that the kiss
had gotten to him. Even if it was teasing, did the man have to
target his self control like that? He brushed some hair from the
man’s face before leaning in to check that he was still
breathing. When everything checked out, Koji huffed and got to
his feet. His look turned angry and stormy as he went to find
Fumi.
He found her undoing her hair so she could brush it. The sudden
appearance of a shape in her mirror made her jump and turn wide
eyed towards Koji.
“Oh mister warrior. I’m sorry I wasn’t expecting you.” She said
innocently but Koji’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
“Cut the crap. We both know you put a sedative in that alcohol.”
He growled and Fumi brought a hand to her mouth, shock on her
features as she stared wide eyed at the man.
“I did no such thing! That bottle was from our personal stores.
A gift from the Empress!” She said in shock, but Koji had been
trained very well on how to spot a liar. This woman was lying
though her teeth and he wasn’t buying it. She harmed Sojoh and
that in his eyes was a crime punishable by himself.
“You drugged my friend. Hide it all you like but you messed up.”
He went to stalk forward and Fumi quickly flared at him, rising
to her feet with a new found confidence that wasn’t there
seconds ago.
“I did no such thing. Even if I did you can’t prove it. If you
lay a finger on me I will have you hanged for harming someone in
service to our empress. You may think you have him wrapped
around your finger but you will see soon enough that it’s just
because he hasn’t had someone like me before.” Her wild
accusations and griping made Koji’s temper peak, but he stayed
in place. What the hell was she talking about? It was almost
like she insinuated that Koji liked him or something?
“Listen here. You may have thought you won something here, but I
will be keeping a very close eye on you. If you so much as
breathe incorrectly in his direction, I will end you and make it
look like an accident.” He sneered, the threat there and very
clear. Koji stormed away from the woman and sat beside his
partner, who at this time was out like a light. He refused to be
away from him and sat beside him to keep watch throughout the
night. Even if by morning Koji felt his eyes getting heavy, he
kept alert and watchful over his friend as he rested. When the
sun was up it was time for them to get going, making Koji have
to jostle Sojoh awake. “Hey, lazy *ss. We’re packing up to
leave.” He stated in a grumpy manner, mostly from lack of sleep
but also from worry after keeping an eye on Sojoh all night.

Sojoh wasn't sure how to describe his dream, but in it he kissed
Koji and was accepted, however it involved a lot more
interesting behavior however he knew it did not happen. When he
felt a shove to his side, he woke to Koji's voice, telling him
they were leaving. Wait...what about his turn for watch? Did
Koji stay up all night? Was he really drugged? Or was he
hallucinating that? He sat up and looked over Koji with a
ruffles look. "Hey- I don't remeber much about last night..." he
stated softly as he got up with a stretch. He helped pack his
own things, the servant making eyes at him again. He ignored
that to greet the boy who was fussy this morning about wanting
to be at the festival already. Sojoh calmed him and asked for
patience. They boy eventually got back into his carriage and
they left. Sojoh eventually got his mind made up to speak to
Koji who looked exhausted. "Hey, I'm not exactly sure what
happened last night but I'll take the watch tonight so you can
sleep. I'm a night owl anyhow." He stated softly to the man with
a shy look.

of awkward realization of dat *ss
WHen Sojoh said he didn't remember much about last night, a
certain relief washed through him. That was...good...The less he
remembered about that awkward exchange, the better. It wasn't
like Sojoh was actually interested in him. That was the sedative
talking...He shook off those thoughts as a blush came to him,
leaving him annoyed now more than ever. Tatsuo's flaming *ss, he
was tired and wanted to sleep, but they had to travel. After
all, the brat wouldn't quit complaining about wanting to be at
the festival already. He was glaring at the servant girl who
made faces at him from the carriage before he jumped a little
when Sojoh spoke up. Should he tell him about the drugging and
risk him remembering that kiss? That sounded awful and like
something awkward that Koji didn't want to deal with.
"You fell asleep because you drank too much. The alcohol was
strong...Look details aside. Don't worry about it. I haven't
seen you sleep like a rock like that in a while." He said with
an attitude that was curbed when he saw the shy look on his
face. For some reason that made Koji feel a bit guilty about
sassing him. "You better take the next watch. And I expect to be
serenade as repayment." He teased, an obvious joke since his
face lit up in a cocky smile.

At the joke of serenading him he nodded,"Deal, you and I both
know I like playing." He stated softly since Koji liked it and
it did put the child fo sleep as well. Sojoh did glance over at
the woman with the child, Fumi and gave her a pressed lipped
look- not that she could see since his face was covered but he
was annoyed , since he could read the annoyance from koji at
her.
He digressed as they moved on, no point in pointing things out
he wasn't fully aware of? Didn't want to assume and make Koji
mad after all.
As they traveled further that day, it was quiet really, the boy
didn't want to rest even so they kept up the pace till near
night fall to set camp. The boy however after wards wished to
run around and explore, Sojoh, of course, opted to go with him,
leaving Fumi and Koji at the camp to prepare dinner.

Koji was glad he agreed, since it was more or less a ploy to
cheer the man up. He wasn’t infallible and the mishap hadn’t
harmed them. Besides, maybe it was nice to see Sojoh getting
some much deserved rest for once...even if it was drug induced.
Koji could do without the surprise kissing though.. He forced
the blush from his face with sheer will, refusing to get all
flustered over an accident. Koji was a trained killer after all
and wasn’t about to let that be diminished by some preteen
fantasy—not that he had fantasies about this—Koji shook his head
and let the ride continue in silence. Koji was glad that the
ride was quiet, because of there were Noise, that meant danger.
Finally, they were able to relax despite the fact Koji’s back
and *ss were sore from being on a horse all day. Eventually
Sojoh took the whining boy off to go look at something while
Koji stayed with Fumi. Fun fun...
He watched the woman like a hawk as she prepared the food. He
even pulled away a few things to make himself when he didn’t
like the way she was doing it. It drew the ire of Fumi, who
finally turned and flared openly at the man with a hands on hips
look. “Would you just go sit down?! For the last time I didn’t
drug you.” She hissed, and Koji’s eyes flicked to her as he cut
the rabbit he had with expert precision.
“Correction, you did. Also, no Miss Fumi. I will not be taking
my eyes off you until the trip is done. Either get used to it or
you are free to go sit over there and sulk, while I make sure we
don’t starve.” He snipped back, clearly done with her and
playing nice. If Koji was playing nice before. He was the type
to be transparent the moment someone pissed him off and this was
one of those moments. The two prepared the stew in silence,
before Fumi went to fetch Sojoh and the young prince to tell
them it was ready.
Fumi immediately launched into having Sojoh pay attention to her
by bringing him his food and even sitting beside him to chat.
“So Warrior, you play music so beautifully...Surely you must be
batting the ladies off you back in Seojinai. I wouldn’t blame
them. You are quite charming.” She said, fishing for if he had a
serious relationship and to pay him compliments:

Sojoh was showing the boy how he was able to clumb a huge tree,
as he had been requested, even if he didn't feel like it- it
kept the boy entertained. As they were headed back, it seemed
Koji was on the way to get them, he gave him a nod and a smile,
even if his face was still hidden. As they returned, it seemed
Fumi was being needy as much as the child had been. He frowned,
not that it was visible as the woman brought him his food and
began trying to make conversation. At the comment on batting the
women off, he shook his head lightly. "I have a woman in my life
already, I do not need more then one. My master would kill
another woman if I bought her back." He teased with a grin since
honestly hos master knew he was gay and told him she would
accept no one prettier then her, or that were female. He always
knew she was joking but he took it to heart.
He ate a bit more before pulling out the ehru on the childs'
demand as he began to play a few different songs, mostly soft
ones since they were in nature and he didnt want to disturb the
natural aura they were surrounded with. He did often glance at
Koji however, keeping an eye on the man, since he knew he was
tired.
The prince was sitting by Koji while they ate, asking questions
about his weapons again, since he was a curious child. When
Sojoh began playing he went to go rest since it seemed Fumi was
ignoring him, not that he minded she fussed too much.
